Do you like Downtown Las Vegas better than the strip?

In 1992 my wife and I rented a Mustang convertible and cruised the Las Vegas area. This was about two years before Fremont Street was blocked off for construction of that canopy. One summer night we drove down Fremont Street with the convertible top down. That was the REAL Fremont Experience. Driving down a canyon of lights; you could feel the heat from the incandescent bulbs on the massive signs. A fantastic experience, now gone forever.

One thing I liked about Fremont Street is the many bands, and they are usually quite good!

I’d rather go to Fremont st any day over anywhere on the strip. What also blows my mind is I have several friends who went to Vegas on vacation and never went to Fremont st and some didn’t even know Fremont st even existed.

I love downtown! When I come to Vegas, I stay at El Cortez! I love the vibe there. We used to only go up on the strip. Then went down to Fremont Street, and had a great time! Ever since, I only stay downtown. So much more fun! Great video, thanks Jacob!

We came to Vegas (from the UK) every year from 2008 until 2019 and love the place. We are seriously thinking of going back in 2025 but as my son went last year (yep, the whole family love the place) and told us the incredible rises in min bet levels we hesitated knowing that as we go primarily for table games (Poker, Pai Gow Poker and maybe a couple of others). We've now decided to stay Downtown for the first time and I am SO looking forward to being able to afford it :) We are happy to take the Deuce for a nostalgic Strip visit - have to do that to see all the differences) but will spend the majority of our time Downtown. Maybe we'll see you there!

The Golden Nugget was a great hotel to stay at and The 4 Queens was my favorite casino to gamble at when i used to go often.

Out of the seven trips we made we stayed five of them on Freemont we loved it
