I quick save, just before trying to pick the ring off of her. Also, if you go to Riften for fish, find the caged wolf somewhere northwest of town. I don't know if that trick works in SE, but you used to be able to go from side to side, just outside of his peripheral, and up your sneak. I used to do that, and then go get the ring. Glad to know this trick still works, though.

For a faster way to pick up ingredients for the process hit ancestors glade for those yellow mountain flowers, and use a salt pile in every pot.salt piles are stupid easy to get, so use that as your "base" if you will, stretch those ingredients farther.you should be prepared to make from 10 to 40 potions to complete the loop depending on alchemy levels, and enchanted gear used in the process.you can get those flowers at any level, though it will be tough at lv 1 to 10, I'd bring a stout follower lol.sprigins can be nasty.a word of caution.dont fortify things like heath, stamina, desease resistance, magic resistance, fortify carry weight and deffo avoid enchanting weopons.these are all things that break.badly lol.for health and Stam, use their regeneration enchantments on gear.same effect just different way around it and won't break.also, the moment you get potion loop where you want it, make a enchant pot and then immediately make a ring of fortify alchemy and smithing, if you can't do double enchants, do fortify alchemy, you can make fortify smithing pots so that's not critical.the fortify alchemy ring is the bread and butter of any power leveled build tho.your goal it to make it just strong enough to be able to reset alchemy to 15, and with a single potion get it back to 100. This let's you power level.this is handy in a ton of situations.for example, with the ability to spam out stupidly strong, and consiqencely valuable potions, you will get rediculous amounts of money.then with this cash go to master trainers, buy 5 levels and then reset alchemy, get that quick lv up, buy 5 more levels.this combines power leveling with speed leveling skills.obviously getting the gold for this, and houses, and anything else you want is another use of this ring.making potions to handle problems you can't potion loop such as carry weight is another.fortify marksman buffs every single skill so there's that.fortify resto pots can make amulate of talos give you unlimited shouts, fortify destruction makes what we all know is mostly crap magic now one hit killers, as well as reduce spell and weopon enchantment costs to nothing, and we haven't got to poisons yet lol.if you know what your doing, you can really do damage with this, and never break your game.all I advise to potion loop gear wise is that ring, and then boots of sneak and muffle, gauntlets of pickpocket and lockpick, put Stam regen and health regen on the chest peice, and magica and water breathing on the helm.the ring can be put up til you need it, so for day to day questing maybe fortify top two schools of magic you use most, or go get those wacky rings like ring of nimara lol.that armor set I gave is bout all you need to go god mode and it absolutely will not break your game.for everything else, use a potion.a looped potion will not bug, where as a looped armor or ring will.trust me, I ran just about every possibility to the test lol.folow what I said, you be just fine

Just so everyone is aware, easiest way to get soul gems of all varieties is the kajhit inventory chest in Dawnstar, it also is a good source of money if you keep resetting them, also has plenty of enchanted gear you and disenchant early game

One of sneak up to 100 in the cave before the bear when you choose stormcloaks or imperial then go to dawn star loot hidden chest for the gear sell and disenchant what you dont need then whiterun have the alchemy lady in the shop train you to 50 in alchemy then make alchemy set plus you can pickpocket her to upgrade pickpocket skill to keep your gold then start making potions

Nobody ever talks bout all the potion options after this tho.for example, fortify destruction potions can make any destruction spell one hit kill on legendary.fortify conjuration potion makes conjuration last longer.what potions work, how and why, and what possible issues can be observed when potion looping various potions? Time to explore kids

Im playing on xbox and it seems to be patched it only increases by about 20% each time and im doing it like you did. Did they patch it on xbox

Not sure if it's patched, but the fortify restoration worked fine, but making a fortify smithing or enchanting potion came out as 1% or 4% increase no matter the alchemy increase.

One question I have is before on vanilla Skyrim I could just craft a ring with alchemy 17651027 (or something like that) but now that I’ve done the resto loop I did the same thing on the special addition my ring is high alchemy base almost the same but the potion effects go down even though it doesn’t have the negative effect. was that feature patched??

Works on Xbox one, I just did it. I now have Fortify Smithing potions with 166649% and Fortify Enchanting potions with 41662%.

September 2020. Need help with what I am doing wrong. I have the 4 enchanted items of fortify alchemy with 8%. Using the fortify restoration potion. Unequipped the 4 then put them back on. It works up until 15 % and sometimes lower itself. Is it really that I only put 1 perk into Alchemist that it doesn't go any higher?
