I love coming back to this game and finding new shit. This feels really obvious in hindsight.

Something else I learned recently is that you can blend in as a Thalmor during the diplomatic immunity quest if you’re an altmer and wear the uniform. You can even convince the guard to leave his post.

Did similar thing. I replaced the shards with a sweetroll. Basically I did the Razor quest with as little casualty as possible.

You wait until you find out about sneaking around the side to avoid the tripwires entirely or breaking them with the flames spell so they go off and the traps miss you or using the Telekinesis spell to steal things at a distance. Then you can find out about using Telekinesis, possibly plus the Quiet Casting perk from the Illusion skill, to steal loads of things right from under the noses of hostiles.

I just found out the other day that you can mine ore by attacking the vein with your pickaxe equipped, rather than clicking on it and waiting for the animation 🤯😁
