What if you're not a license holder and you have a 🔫 in your car? Every owner has been in this situation, such as transporting it from the store, or to the range. If you happen to get pulled over during one of these circumstances, it's best to just remain silent, especially if it's in another location of the vehicle. Just hand over your driver's license and proof of insurance, and don't answer any questions.

Remember, you are not buddies and he is not going to buy you a beer later.

Start exercising your right to remain silent immediatly. "Where are you coming from?" "Officer, with respect, i am invoking my fifth amendment right to remain silent, so i will not answer any questions. You have the documents I am required to show you, so my obligatioin in this stop has been met - completely."

Are we waking up to the fact that we all live in a police state? It’s not a book or a movie; it’s real right now.

I live in Kentucky. A constitutional carry state. I was recently pulled over for expired tags. I provided license and insurance. One of the officers asked if there were weapons in the vehicle. I politely said yes, I am constitutional carrying in my waistband. They were polite in return. The officer notified the other officer. They were cool about it. Of course I made no sudden moves and the entire stop lasted 10 min. I wasn’t late for work. I commend their professionalism. I support my local law enforcement 100%!!!!

If pulled over In Alabama, if they ask "Do you have a firearm with you?" you have a duty to inform. I just read that.

This scenario is wild, but extremely common. There are way too many people locked up for this exact situation..

The 2nd amendment is your right to conceal carry. Any law repugnant to the Constitution is void. When the people understand they are the malitia and become community organized to protect one another from government overreach and tyranny, corporate policy enforcement officers will correct their behavior or suffer serious consequences. Being a police officer doesn't make anyone more righteous, moral or decent than the People who employ them. Worse yet, they either know they work for a foreign corporate entity as they act in treason or they dont. Either way they are anything but honorable.

Yeah but what pisses me off about this is that we have to treat ourselves as if we were hiding like a criminal. Is our god-given right to be able to protect ourselves and carry weapons. I hate this mentality that cops think that we're not supposed to have any kind of weapon on ourselves or in our car.

In my opinion, it's just being respectful to the officer you know what kind of job they have to do every day

The CPL rules are ridiculous, having to disclose it right away.

Two people in Massachusetts are being prosecuted for going through Massachusetts for the same reason Massachusetts is so messed up!!! They got pulled over for a traffic violation and asked if they had a firearm and they said yes.

You should never be required to tell the cop that you have a firearm.

In Louisiana, your car is an extension of your domain. So, as long as there is no firearm on your person, there's no duty to advise. However, while CCH permits are still issued, Louisiana became a Constitutional Concealed Carry State this past July 04, 2024... and ALL of the carry regulations that are incumbent on a CCH licensee are also required for Constitutional carriers. One of which is advising any LEO who is interacting with you in an official manner that you are armed. Prior to July '24, Louisiana had LEOSA and "Veterans" permitless concealed carry with the same requirements.
