One of the biggest differences in these are safety! The slower hydraulic of the expensive ensures that I don’t fall as often and has a locking mechanism when I need to lock the angle!

Ezra’s prosthetic does NOT have this function. I had one of these before and I would always fall, and my experience with it wasn’t as great!

realistically the electronic leg should have a setting for both, and default to free-hinge when unpowered, that way you can still walk when the battery dies.

I think the motors will continue to improve and move more smoothly and naturally in the coming years. prosthetics (cybernetics?) have really improved over the last 10 years
