Wow, imagine if humanity spent their resources on things like this instead of constantly dumping money into killing one another.

The government is investing $8 million? That's not enough. They should be investing $8 billion!!

Makes you think what we could achieve if we hadn't put so much effort into fighting each other but instead focusing on research.

10 years ago? Are you serious? Why is still not available?

You guys are doing an awesome job. I just wanted to tell you that um this is amazing! Our soliders and veterans sacrificed their bodies, MINDS, families, freetime, and so much more so that all of us are able to enjoy the freedoms our Great Country provides us. Our wounded should be getting the top of the line in prosthetics, biotics, medical treatment, medications, and mental health treatment available. We all owe them that. My grandfather Jack B. told me war stories because he was the true Captain America. Even at 80+ years old he informed me that the mental trauma our soldiers endure from war, because war is Hell, still at times affected him and so he used his artistic skills and began painting on canvas. Grandpa Jack said painting is great therapy for PTSD and other mental health issues that is caused by killing and trying not to be killed.

Damn.. This is amazing and its only on its first stages, this holds so many possibilities, not just in a medical sense but also help with diferent kinds of works, now imagine a machine that you just have to put on som sensors and then you just have to think about moving it and BOOM.. it moves, freaking amazing, and even in video games, imagen Virtual Reality Full Immersion, you could control an avatar like that.. I cant wait to see how it will develop in the future, this is probably one of the coolest thing ever!!!

I won't return to active service after losing a leg, even with a bionic leg. We may see military that a loss of limb still means military service. It should be voluntary re-enlistment

How can my wife volunteer for this? She had her leg amputated, above the knee, last year. This would bring her so much mobility and independence.

Good evening to all the team that contributed to the completion of this work. My son has a case of amputation of his right hand and left foot. Please help him to start this life. He is 12 years old, and he is my eldest son who lost his hand and leg from the remnants of the war in Syria.

Great innovation and invention! Hopefully they can make it a reality where improvements on this within 5 years can make you feel that your PL is real 😊

This would be perfect for me. The only other one I've seen that would be any good for me costs about £100k (roughly $126k in USD) which is way outside any costs that I could ever afford. Saying that, for all I know, that could be what this one costs now, I've just noticed this video is about ten years old now. Such a shame. I hate not being able to go out for walks like I used to. I'm not even 50 yet but feel like i am about 90 nowadays. With something like this I could get out, get proper exercise and get some way back to how I used to be. Well done to the creators of this and others like it. Hopefully they will become more available and more affordable soon.

Now just add hurt sensors so he can feel if he hit his foot/leg on something.
