Take that X stitch off of your vents also. Saw a dude rocking those last week at a formal event.

It would be tacky to leave the tag on. I have to say I’m enjoying these shorts dos and don’t s 👍

And yes, use scissors to cut the tag!! When I was young I went to a school dance with my new suit, when I got to the dance I realized I still had the tag on the sleeve jacket, so I decided to immediately rip it off before anyone noticed it and it tore a small end of my sleeve 😫 😢. That just ruined my night.

It just make me laugh but i politely inform person to remove tag. Funny indecent, once I saw this teenager wearing a suite for weeding with tags on, i advised him to remove tags, he gave me strange look and told me that, what if he want to return suite next day.🤣🤣🤣

I worked a college career fair recently and saw so many kids with the tags still on their suits! Bless their hearts.

Skip the scissors, spend a couple of dollars on a seam ripper instead.

Seam rippers are designed to pull stitches, versus trying to navigate those small threads with scissors or nail clippers (and damaging the suit in the process).

Good points u r making...some men leave the tags on because they don't know any better...also some are on an ego trip....peace

Remove the baste stitching (white threading) from the shoulders as well.

I done the same mistake, I bought my first suit and I actually went to an Interview with it 😅🤦🏻‍♂️ Never knew, after I started watching more mens wear styles and I realised it gotta come off 😁 , I also seen people going to weddings with the small label 🏷 on 🙈

this is more on a coat than a suit but I had a heck of a time getting the tag removed from it. Sure I was able to cut it off but the threading was just in there and didn't want to come out.

wish manufacturers would find a better, easier (way to remove) method of adding the tags

The only stitches I leave in are sometimes the ones that keep the coat pockets shut. I try not to put anything in my suit coat pockets and stretch the material on the outside of them. As for sleeve labels, someone wearing an Armani suit for the first time may leave the label on the sleeve so people know how expensive his suit is. In my opinion, a suit should speak for itself. I had a Canali suit off eBay that only cost me £40. It fitted me as near perfect as I’ve ever had in a suit. I was very lucky with it. It was Navy, with a subtle shadow stripe and a superb sheen. I never once went out in it without getting admiring looks and compliments several times. My white shirt cuffs showed at a perfect length. It made me feel like James Bond when I wore it. Unfortunately, I put on weight and with tears, sold it. I’m getting on a bit in years now and have developed a taste for tweed. Suits really make you feel good and command more respect than when in jeans, tee shirt and trainers.

I have never seen a person, who left a tag on a sleeve or anywhere on a suit but maybe I was just lucky. Anyway your shorts are great can't wait to see more of them in the future.

Nice try but I learned my mistake by cutting off the tags from my Beanie Baby collection and lost tens of dollars.

Back in high school, I'd wear my grey suit to church whenever I wanted to look sharp. I loved this suit. About 2 years into the suit, a (now) friend of mine - 4 years older - pulled me aside and asked me why I still had my stiches in. I looked at him with confidence and said, that's how it's suppose to be.

Needless to say, I found out that day that you gotta remove the stiches from every new suit. I was so embarrassed. 2 years off wearing this suit to church and no one stopped me to tell me this. Some church family this is

if the tag has information about the type of cloth make sure that you at least put it some where else for when you take it to clean.

hey Brian, sorry this probably not the most appropriate channel to ask this question, and I apologize for this. Since you're residing in Baltimore, do you have any opinion or heard anything about Nicky's Tailoring, located on Eutaw Avenue in downtown Baltimore?

If you remove this tag, it means it has been worn. I have seen both men and women make this mistake.
