My trick to weight loss was very simple, I treated it like a mini cut/bulk. I was very fat (30%+) so when I got down to 24/25% id be very hungry, when I got to 20% I'd be starving and then eat my way back to 30%. I figured this was because my body simply wasn't used to being that lean, it was used to being 30%.

So, what I did was simple. When I got to that very hungry point I would bulk a little bit again to stabalise but to a lower % than I started. For example 30% > 25% > 27% > 22% > 24% > 20% etc. (It wasn't so strict it was based off feeling).

Yes, it was slower but it kept setting a new standard for what my body wanted to be at and because of this I never felt a desire to overeat. Now I sit at ~15% very comfortable, honestly anything more than 18% feels sluggish and horrible. I've tried cutting more to 10/12% and while I'll be the first to admit it looks better, I feel lethargic. Once I hit my strength goals I may try cutting and seeing if I can set new standards but for now I am happy with ~15%.

How I lost weight? Well that's simple. Run more, eat less. That part isn't rocket science. Just put in the work.

I did recently a (successful) summer cut and at first I "avoided" carbs before bed but after some time that led to waking up hungry in the middle of the night. Then I readjusted my meal timings, kepf the calories the same but ate a high carb meal right before bed. Boom, felt amazing, sleep was amazing, woke up well recovered and the pounds melted right off. 38yo, best shape of my life.

I do want to add, some of us have acid reflux. Don’t eat within 2 hours of bedtime unless you want to wake up in the morning coughing, choking, and gurgling

Here’s my experience — I lost 12kg fat,
* I never once went keto, carnivore, paleo, medieval, vegan or vegetarian.
* I counted my calories, cico.
* I regularly eat 3 eggs/day, 15-21 eggs/week.
* I do consume pizza just half per meal, supplement with whey shake.
* I often make my own burgers, ground chuck, 40g protein is my goal.

I used to eat 8-12 eggs a day and when I went for a check up at the doctors when I got to 40 years of age the nurse said they don't usually see people with cholesterol as low as what mine was back then, so I laugh when people keep telling me that eggs are full of cholesterol and are bad for you. They are full of cholesterol but mostly the good stuff.

My grandpa used to say the exact same thing "moderation with what tastes really good and a little bit of everything else". Nowadays everything must be super complicated, bio hacks and and other BS like that, while in fact it's so simple. It's good to see that the wisdom of the past is not lost. Thanks Jonni!

Weight loss is so much more tricky than muscle building. Muscle is slow but easy. Lift weights.. get bigger. Weight loss fights you all day everyday.

I eat a whole cup of greek yogurt with a quarter cup of organic oats mixed in and soaked all day topped with a full cup+ of wild blueberries and a 1/4 cup of walnuts and 1 to 2 tablespoons of honey before bed every single night and I'm not gaining weight, stays right at 205lbs. I get about 150 grams of protein in the form of whole foods and every other day I add a protein shake on top of that. Losing fat gaining muscle. I seem to be doing something right. I eat a square of dark chocolate every day too and my pre workout food is sausage lentil soup a couple hours before the gym and pre-workout powder right before. As long as I keep seeing the results I'm seeing I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing. Oh and I eat eggs, lots of eggs and my cholesterol is outstanding.

Reducing sugar is more of a health thing than fat loss, improves microbiota and reduces chance of diabetes

What I get from this is that we can make use of ALL foods. You can have red meat, but you should also be having white 1/2 to 2/3 of the time. You can have carbs(we actually need them for optimal function) you just need to take into account what kind and how much. Even a few pieces of candy can have it's place if it's been hours since you ate and you could use a sugar boost. You're not going to balloon up unless you're out of control with the carbs. We shouldn't be eating too much(or too little)of ANY one thing. Like Jonni said- MODERATION.

The meal frequency is subjective but if you have insulin resistance it’s better to have less peaks of insulin to lower your A1c and return to normal threshold. It all depends on healthy metabolically you are and the stress level
