“EMILY” tells the imagined life of one of the world’s most famous authors, Emily Brontë. The film stars Emma Mackey (“Sex Education”, “Death on the Nile”) as Emily, a rebel and misfit, as she finds her voice and writes the literary classic Wuthering Heights. “EMILY” explores the relationships that inspired her – her raw, passionate sisterhood with Charlotte (Alexandra Dowling – “The Musketeers”) and Anne (Amelia Gething – “The Spanish Princess”); her first aching, forbidden love for Weightman (Oliver Jackson-Cohen – “The Lost Daughter”, “The Haunting of Bly Manor”) and her care for her maverick brother (Fionn Whitehead – “The Duke”, “Dunkirk”) whom she idolises.

Frances O’Connor makes her directorial debut with “EMILY,” from her own original screenplay. The film also stars Adrian Dunbar (“Line of Duty”) and Gemma Jones (“Bridget Jones’s Baby”, “Gentleman Jack”).

Fantastic... love the setiment... but how long before no one ever will have Freedom in thought anymore? When the Neurolink and other chips are implanted in humans and we have no more freedom of thought left, when we are connected in minds and someone can hack into your mind and hold you hostage? When your thoughts are not yours alone anymore? Is freedom found in choosing your own lifepath? Is freedom found in being accepted? Is freedom found in hiding away in a house far away from Civilization? No freedom of thought is truelly freedom, because we can think freely and quietly, plan and dream, not share our thoughts when chosen, have brilliant ideas or write a book and write songs without someone hacked into your mind to steal it before you can use it for yourself... when we become someone's "property" a slave... like Dragons waiting for mind to bring to them their next prey... isn't such a society truelly a Draconian society...? Freedom in thought indeed....
