Mine is a mixed breed boxer and Australian shepherd and the only problem is at night he is up n think it's playtime and biting playing when it's bedtime and scared of noises.
He has came a long way the farm we got him from he didn't act like a dog for two weeks. And he had bad ear infection and fleas like crazy and they locked them up together in a barn during the night and out in a cage at daytime and no socializing with other dogs and people .

I love boxer dogs, I’m going on my second, my sister had two which made me won’t one. My first was a girl and she was the most sweat and caring dog me and all my friends have seen. Now we have a boy and as he ages he gets better and better, the only problem we have is that when I the man of the house give him a treat if we even get close to his face while eating his treat he growls and almost nips or bites us. Very aggressive. How can I stop this? We have a five year old girl and she is always messing with him, I would hate to have to get rid of him or something just because he had this own issue.

First of all thank you for this great information. Since a couple of months we addopted a boxer dog that is 7 years old from our grandfather that passed away. Last weeks, we really found our selfs in trouble with the fact that the dog is bitting. He is not really biting familiar people, the problem mostly occurs with visiters whom he does not know and people on the streets. As a family, we always kept dogs but never experienced such a problem.

Do you think your tips would also be applicable for an adult dog? Do you maybe have any tips/ some advice, what we could do to handle this problem correctly? It would really upset us if we have to leave the dog since it belonged to our grandfather. Any advice would really help us!
