Darth Maul vs Darth Sidious Emperor Palpatine Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 5 lightsaber duel SITH

This EPIC scene from Season 5 Episode 16 'Lawless' STAR WARS The Clone Wars, Darth Maul (voiced by Sam Witwer) duels his former master Darth Sidious (Emperor Palpatine and voiced by Abercrombie). Having sensed Maul's exploits on Mandalore, Sidious arrives on the planet cement his own position in the Sith ranks to the exclusion of Darth Maul. The Sith Lord, Darth Sidious has just killed Mauls brother, Savage Opress (voiced by Clancy Brown) and now faces his former apprentice Maul one on one in one of the most epic lightsaber duels from the series, and one that stands up against all Star Wars lightsaber duels.

It's sad to see Maul absolutely defeated by his old Master and beg for mercy. Maul has been used by the dark side, he has lost everything, in the end he was just a tool for Palpatines grand plan. The force lighting at the end is the icing on the cake.

Dave Filoni and George Lucas created a brilliant storyline in retuning Maul to the franchise, risky as it was it definitely paid off. Darth Maul & Savage Opress VS Darth Sidious
