Learn by getting a coach who can shows you the ropes and is certified, the difference between in person coaching and online is unbelievable. If you're going to perform these complex movements you need to have the mobility, strength and coordination that will be most easily achieved by and intelligent coach in person.

thanks to garage strength i’ve fallen in love with the power snatch… i’ve all together abandoned deadlifts for weighted 45 degree back extensions, and cleans are starting to be injurious to my wrists… so snatches it is🏋🏾

Lots of people have concerns with Olympic lifting being dangerous, but have no problems getting or seeing people get hit playing football.

I’m thinking my body type wasn’t made of oly lifting. Long torso + short arms I often end up hitting my groin. Not junk. The groin, right in that sweet spot where the pelvic bones meet. When comparing pain I’d rather take it in the bits than the aforementioned.

Yeah, but they aren't the same level of danger. I'll stay with my safeties inside a power rack, I've watched too many barbells hit heads and necks in viral videos

i' m tight. but helps mobility lol and also fucks up my shoulder too.. definitely has its uses and dose dependent.. but not an absolute requirement

My man, Hao! Such a nice dude, he was super-welcoming and friendly when I was there. Please give him my regards Dane and let him know that I am progressing in my lifts too! At some point, I want to ask you about a few details in your coaching of Anna (I saw her lift @ Worlds), and the 2 snatch misses and her make on the 3rd : what cues or corrections do you give someone in that situation? And is it a sign that it's more of a technical or strength deficiency? Trying to figure this out for my OWN self-diagnosis, as I also miss out front WAY more than miss behind (like Jordan). I realize these are VERY minute details (esp in snatch) but they make a HUGE diff in the result!
