They're actually really difficult - they're not a joke

If you want to get the benefits of them without learning the full lifts, do power cleans, power snatches, high pulls and full cleans

Im going to have to agree. Olympic lifts are a mixture of strength, explosive power and specific skill and are great at testing those things, but there are better ways to build up strength and power.

you dont have to master them to get the benefits if we use that idea the squat would be to hard as well as it takes a lot of time to perfect it. Studies have shown that olympic lifts can be mastered enough to be benefical and safe in 6 weeks and they also offer you something nothing else does and that is the catching phase

WHAT? You've obviously never played football. Even track athletes do cleans man, and plenty of football programs have athletes do jerks, power snatches from blocks, etc. Oly lifts and variations are EXTREMELY good at building power and explosiveness. This is basic stuff.

This move is USELESS unless you want to perform an athletic prowess, if you just want to train and get bigger or stronger, stick to moves that target specifically the muscle you want to devellop, not this move that is unsafe and that engages basically all of your body, do squats, do shoulder press, but not both at same time.
