The benchmarks with 25 games compared side by side really sold me on the 7900x. With the new AM5 motherboards. I should be able to upgrade my CPU over the next one or two generations before a socket change. Thanks for the analysis and comparison man.

Clear answer: if you do editing and working stuff... YES! If you wanna gaming and no other, NO! The actual gaming kings are the 13600K/KF and the older AMD 5800X3D, no one gaming rig needs more.

I think just around this video was released, the 7950x dropped a lot in price, and at least in Norway it's a lot cheaper than the 13900K. The Intel chip is faster in most things, but for people who need only P-cores, amd is the better option. As many other has commented, this apply for people running VM's and code where you assign a number of cores to handle a specific project. Only question is if you need 16 cores or if 12 is enough. That's a 4 core/8 thread extra VM for the 7950x.

Если сточить крышку на AMD на 3мм можно снизить температуры на 15-20°. Крышки на новых AMD толщиной 3, 6 мм . Они очень толстые и не успевают отводить тепло от кристаллов.

In my experience, R9 is targeted to a heavy heterogeneous workload. In my case, 7950X is ideal for virtual machines and other similar stuff. Core I9 is the worse choice, because the core isn't equal, and power is unbalanced between VMs and/or more different tasks. For game six core is enough.
