7950X. Platform longevity so future CPU upgrades won't require a whole new mobo.

The one that doesn’t cook itself after ten minutes

Fun fact the heat from a PC of either of those CPUs paired with a 4090 is enough to singe off all the hair on someone's head and face.
I'm sorry Brett this happened to you.

7950X! I am using this CPU, and it's fantastic...plus, you can put it in Eco Mode at 115 watts, and get about 90-95% of the performance at half the power consumption. It's amazing!

Shaved eyebrows is surprisingly looking good on you. Giving that WWE Kane vibes.

That would depend on how long AMD wants to keep the socket for the motherboard. If it's shelf life is as long as AM4 it will be upgradeable for a while. Intel changes sockets more than they do underwear.

I like the future upgrade path for AMD. I'd go that route if I had the money.

Go 7950X ! I would love to see it paired with the 7900XTX for a team red build :D

I would go with AMD since they tend to get better overtime/more updates, and most likely you can under volt and keep the same amount of performance without really need to do any crazy stuff like Delid/lapping it. Pairing with 4090 will most likely keep the power draw under reasonable. As we know intel tend to draw way more than what they says on their specs. But it is cheaper to go with intel their z690 or whatever that is compatible newest gen but on ddr4. So bleeding edge or something that is a bit more stable. For me I would go with bleeding edge till it become more stable.

Go with AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, for future upgradability, because AMD said they will support AM5 motherboards up to 2025.

13900k for being cheaper with better performance

I would actually go with with the least powerhungry at the moment, but I also live in Europe.. My mainstream resonans for not upgrading this winter is actually the skyrocketing in electricity.. (i dont know if its nearly as bad in the u.s.)

I am also basicaly waiting for Am5 3d cached chips and to see what rdna3 has in store for us.

Tbh i dont Even need an upgrade that bad, sitting on a 5950x & 3080ti as a creator Who games in his spare time.

Amd will save you money because of the power efficiency

For one generation. . . Intel, but would go AMD and plan to upgrade chips in later gens if you already have the chips

13900k for better single core performance and multicore. Just better in every way.. no reason to pay more for an inferior amd product. Idk what these other people in the comment section are smoking. That must be some good shit 😂.

I went 7950x personally. Less power draw and similar performance. It will be an easier to cool system, and that was a draw for me.
