You're right and it's not just a Western problem, these ideologies have made their way over to the Middle East and the sub-continent as well. Men are increasingly becoming domesticated to a fault. Most people are confused because they take Islam as a religion of just ritualistic practices though it's a deen that directs our complete lifestyle.

I am a young muslim and I admit that this year was the hardest .
The modern world, differnet ideologies, technology, masculinity, femenisim
Thinking about these things made me struggle emotionally, as u described, It felt like an identity crisis, I was confused and lost and couldn't even know how to act because of these contradictory ideologies and I will say it:
IT IS DANGEROUS and if I didn't find allah at the right time I might have killed someone or even killed myself
May allah guide us all .

These 6 ayats seem more directly related.

Quran 28 : 26 - And said one of them (the two daughters): **"O my father! Hire him! Verily, the best of men for you to hire is the strong, the trustworthy."**

Quran 24 : 37 - **Men whom neither trade nor sale diverts them from the Remembrance of Allah** (with heart and tongue), nor from performing As­Salat, nor from giving the Zakat. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (Akirah). (Quran 4 :34)

Quran 9 : 46 - Mohsin Khan: And if they had intended to march out, **certainly, they would have made some preparation for it, ** but Allah was averse to their being sent forth, so He made them lag behind, and it was said (to them), "Sit you among those who sit (at home)."

Quran 28 :77 - But seek, with that (wealth) which Allah has bestowed on you, the home of the Hereafter, and forget not your portion of good enjoyment in this world, and do good as Allah has been good to you, and seek not mischief in the land. Verily, Allah likes not the Mufsidun.

Quran 4 : 135 - **O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves, or** your parents, or your kin, be he rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). So follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you may avoid justice, and if you distort your witness or refuse to give it, verily, Allah is Ever Well­Acquainted with what you do.

Looks like my first comment was removed. I'll try again. Too many preachers and not enough men of action is the problem. The religious men are busy acquiring knowledge which is good but this is not the whole of Islam. Islam is a practical religion and a religion of actions. Not every man is destined to follow the path of the 4 imams. Which books did Khalid bin Waleed leave behind? Which books did Umar leave behind? We need Ulema do guide but we need men like Umar and Abu Bakr to lead. They prayed tahajjud but also enjoyed the good and forbade the evil and Allah is pleased with them.
