it's true and necessary. patriarchy or not. someone has to earn and run the house(even if partially if not fully). you can't expect your father to keep working in his 50s and 60s. everyone doesn't make it to retirement wealth.

Actually, more than gender it mostly depends on whether you are elder or younger one in your family, elder ones whether boy or girls have this burden on their shoulders to earn for their family and look after them whereas younger ones are most of the time free from these responsibilities 🙌🙌

We as women also send money back at home but it’s not expected of us, but it is definitely expected from brothers. Patriarchy and inequality hurts all, men and women, but some egoistic men and lazy women abuses the feminism movement cause it doesn’t fit their rich and privileged lifestyle.
