Does this group of Japanese 107-year-olds hold the key to stopping aging? Let's explore that, with host Tom Carroll.

Aging is viewed as a natural and inevitable process, something that happens to all of us and cannot be stopped. But what if we looked at aging completely different - a string of symptoms caused by an underlying issue.

Even though it might sound crazy there may be a way to cure aging, and it’s thanks to something that already lives inside all of us, our microbiome.

Our microbiome is a collection of all microbes inside your body. This can include bacteria, fungi, and even viruses. Since the key to a long life is maintaining a healthy microbiome, experts believe if we can hack our microbiomes, we may be able to cure aging, altogether.

Sauer Kraut, Kimchi, fermented veggies, kefir, yogurt, Brie cheese, raw milk, Japanese natto---moderate sun exposure---exercise. the list goes on. I consume most of these every day and haven't been sick or had stomach problems for years. My mind is clearer, and I sleep better. complete clean bill of health. I'm 65 and have the health of someone in their twenties or thirties. it takes discipline.

Alligators can live to be 100 years old, which is why there is an increased chance that they will see you later.

Be aware that there are clinical reports showing some patients experiencing unusual personality changes after ingesting donor feces.. The donors may 'appear' young and healthy on the outside, but their gut microbiome influences their brain activities, thoughts & moods.

great video!!
but one note: you're not actually born with your microbiome. There are some studies that identified bacterial DNA in the placenta, but the results of these studies could not be reproduced reliably.. A newborn first comes in contact with microbes during birth, with the vaginal microbiome of the mother. and interestingly, the gut microbiomes of babies delivered via C-section look more like the mother's skin microbiome.

I believe that we will find that, in addition to applying knowledge newly gained about the microbiome, we will need to make fundamental changes in lifestyle and education, including a high priority on the body and how it works, new cultural attitudes toward exercise and diet, and a better understanding of the debilitating effects of chronic stress from daily living. We need to address all this in a balanced fashion to approach optimal health which then provides the foundation for a long life. We live in exciting times.

in my country people in villages live atleast 90 without any support. their food is pretty simple rice, lentils, milk, curd, vegetables, etc. its all about the food we are being ruined by all these chemically treated pre-packaged food.

My Mentor is 95 now, stands six two and 160 lbs, mind fast as ever, amazing energy. He drinks a little red wine every day and eats a few peanuts. All those that said he would kill himself doing that have been gone for many years.

Aging is inevitable as long as it's limited by telomeres. Telomeres are bits of junk DNA that gets hacked off each time a cell divides itself. Once they run out, that cell can no longer divide to make replacements. This is of particular importance in the stomach, because your stomach lining is constantly being destroyed by acid, requiring them to be replaced. Once you can no longer do that, you die. Period. If nothing else kills you first, this is guaranteed to. This puts a hard limit on how old a person can theoretically live, believed to be somewhere in the 120-150 year old range for most people.
There are ways to get around the telomere problem. Unfortunately we haven't figured out a way to do it that doesn't also cause Cancer. That's what Cancer does. It makes cells divide indefinitely and out of control.

The main things killing our biome is exposure to glyphosate (and pesticides in general), antibiotics, plastics(touching all of our food), additives now cleverly named as “natural flavors” and hand sanitizer. If you want to learn more look up Dr. Zach Bush and the things effecting our biome and all the symptoms that go with it.

Also, grow your own vegetables, forage as much as you can, and wash/cook them minimally. much benefit from microbes found on healthy plants.
