I don’t know about you but, I have not had a great start to the year at alllll! I’ve been so inconsistent with my food and training resulting to me feeling not the best. I love routine and being consistent, it’s what makes me feel and perform the best! I hope this video inspires you to get up meal prep, set your intentions right for the week and truly do this for you as you deserve to feel great.

Recipe:

✅Chicken: Jerk & chicken seasoning, slowly folded in a frying pan with olive oil!
✅ Salmon: olive oil, salt, pepper & lemon, over bake for 30 mins
✅ Potatoes: olive oil, salt, oregano, oven bake 45 mins
✅ Greens: simmer for 4 mins, add lemon juice only
✅ Oats: @womensbest fudge power powder (link in bio to order!), cinnamon, peanut butter and fruit of choice

Have you or will you meal prep 👀👇

Meal prepping isn’t easy, but damn it feels good when it’s time to eat since it’s all done

I spend three hours every week, once a week, cooking my meals for the next seven days. It's SO nice to just be able to reach into my fridge or freezer and have a meal to reheat, instead of constantly wondering what I'm going to eat (and making poor food decisions because of it). The only thing you need to get used to is eating the same thing for days in a row, but honestly for me it reduces the decision fatigue enough to make it worth it.

Put paper towels under the fruit/veg/salads that are confined. It helps soak up the excess moisture, keeping the fruits fresh. x

I cook for my family of 4 every sunday and we eat those meals for the whole week. It has really given us a better quality of life and I have more free time after work everyday to spend time with my children and my husband. We usually cook one protein for the whole week clean up a bunch of fruit and have some of it chopped up. I prep all of our lunches for work and freeze breakfast burritos for us too. Another big plus is the money saved.

Just one tip, don't keep olive oil in see through bottle, it makes the oil go bad, since it is light sensitive, that is why in store good olive oil is in dark green/brown glass bottles

I like that you actually seasoned your food and ate fruit. So many of these "fitness influencers" have demonized fruit and it's crazy.

There are nothing better than eating fresh food that has been cooked same day.

My husband & I do this every Sunday. Friday we get takeout (our cheat day) but Monday through Thursday, we pull the dinners out of the fridge & heat them up. For a couple hours work on Sunday, it's totally worth it.

I’ve always struggled with this concept because I like freshly cooked meals right off the heat, only reheating for leftovers and that’s a smalll portion

I stay pretty busy thru out the week. I’m also a huge foodie. Meal prepping has been such a lifesaver for me as it ensures I can have delicious and healthy meals thru out the week, limit food waste and also thoroughly enjoy my hobby (since cooking when on a slim timeframe completely takes out the enjoyment for me). In the beginnings it can be overwhelming and even a bit bland but as you go along and learn how to properly store your meals as well as what you prefer preparing at meal times rather than beforehand there are really so many benefits! :)
