Handles like a pregnant cow. I love it. Your reviews and demonstrations partially inspired me to purchase my first mower. X758.

Was going to step into the 700 series but with the amount of mowing and yard chores I do I went up to the one series 1025r..and love it

A man gave me a very neglected 455 a few weeks ago...I had to rig some stuff up to get it to start but once I got power it fired right up on the first try...Looking forward to fixing it up...Trans runs out well too...

The 455 does an amazing job at choping those clippings. you should do one of these 420, 318, 317. Great video!

Such a great video, I actually just picked up a 430 a few weekends ago 91 from the original owner. I would really like to see you get a 430

Man if you get a 332 and a 430 and do the same video, Youd have my dream collection right there.

I like mowing my rectangular sections in diagonal mowing passes if they're anywhere close to square sections, then I alternate my diagonal pass directions week-to-week.

455 will always be the best in my opinion. Had 2 of them, both with 60” decks, 1 w/ AWS, the other standard. Loved them both, a d regret selling them.

I have a 2019 X758 that I bought new. I probably shouldn't have it because it only takes 20 minutes to mow my entire yard. I mainly bought it to blow snow. My driveway is 80 feet long. But all and all I just like John deere. I had a 318 for 30 years before the X758.
Interesting test. Great job.

Great video! Would have loved to see a 430 in the mix. People always talk about their mowing capabilities and cut quality. I’ve always wondered what cuts better, a 455 or 430? 🧐

Good luck on the 430 hunt, definitely one of the harder finds right now in my area.

Looking good 👍 all three but I own a 455 with a 54 inch deck I love it but I have issues with moisture in the hyd oil

Thank you for and I enjoy the channel. The 400 video made me keep them under consideration and I've had one for about 5 weeks now. What I would have liked to have seen up front is a check/comparison on the blades as well. Ideally in a test, they would all start off with new or sharpened blades. Any additional information in that direction (sorry its been 3 months)?

What is the blade condition on all 3 decks? Just curious on what it would be across them with new gator blades on all 3, I have a 420, and am repairing/restoring a 425 presently, along with a GX345. All 3 will be getting new gator blades soon. 425 will get them once it's engine repairs are done.

They all did a good job and a person couldn’t really go wrong with either of them. I am amazed with my 2038R and the 72” drive over deck. It does a tremendous job. Looks like a golf course when you’re done lol. Sorry I got off topic hehehe

I believe the 758 is probably the best of the three. I know the 400 has a 2 speed transaxle. You probably mowed in low, which I never do because I keep the grass short.
The ground speed of the 400 is above 10 mph but the blade rpm is slow at about 1500.
The 455 ground speed is around 8 mph but the blade rpm is 2000.
The turning radius on the 455 is shorter as well.
A better comparison would have been a 430 for the fact of them all being Yanmar diesel engines.
My 430 as well as my 400 will cut a acre as fast as my 757 z-turn.
The 20 hp yanmar diesel on the 430 is way superior to the 20 hp Kohler of the 400.
I’ve had to rebuild every Kohler engine I’ve had on the 400’s around 1000 hours. Finally put a 23 hp Vanguard on the last one. It’s a hoss.

so the high capacity deck cut just like the 7iron?

seen alot of 430H3's for sale lately.
if you think the 400 handles like a pregnant cow, pit them all up against an X739. takes some adjusting and train of thought reprogramming, but once you get it, it's hard to go back to the pregnant cows. once you master it, you will just tell every one "nope! not with out my 739!"
