I didn't mention it in the video but they do have available drive over decks in 54 and 60 inches. The green decks are commercial and have been discontinued and you can only get the standard yellow deck.

You can put a jumper wire between the 2 wires on the little yellow switch for the mow in reverse and it will stay on all the time.

I have the 54" plow for mine and it is worth every penny. I have two driveways and it cleans them up real fast. I have had my x738 for 8 years now and enjoy every time I use it. So far, problem free.

Nice tractor and thanks for the video. I thought you might mention the turning radius while mowing. It should turn very sharp unlike a compact utility tractor which has a much heavier front axle which is necessary to support the weight of a loader. Specified turn radius is about 2 feet compared to the JD 1025r which is more like 7 feet. Big difference there. The 1025r also has the ROPS that will annoy you continually if you are mowing around trees and other low hanging obstacles. For mowing, pretty hard to best what you have there.

If I'm shopping for a riding lawn mower I really want this model. It has everything you ever want in one.

Nice video.

Two things. If you reverse the raise lower connections on your hydraulic connections so that the bottom lever controls raise lower function, you will find that pushing the bottom lever full forward places the plow in “float” mode. The plow lowers and floats with the contour of the ground surface ( without downward hydraulic pressure). A nice feature.

Second, i don’t modify the rpms on mine to reverse. Blades continue to rotate in reverse if you pull up (slightly) on the pto mechanism on the right OR press the yellow button on the left side of steering wheel. Not sure why Deere designed w both options but there are times when you use the left hand to push ( e.g. when the beer is in the right... jk).

Very good review, thank you. I am looking at this model and the Kubota GR2120 - Kubota diesel, 4x4, 54" deck, Front mounted Snowblower, Glide Steer for sharper turning. I really like this Deere and I really like the Kubota Glide Steer system for steering. Right now it looks like whoever gets their model in stock first will be the winner - man is stuff hard to come by nowadays!

Nice machine. I have an X590 and I’d like to get one of these so we can have his and hers mowers lol. FYI, it’s generally recommended to not use the hose attachments on the mower deck. You risk getting water in the spindle bearings causing rust and premature failure. Just blow it out with compressed air after use.

In Mowing 90 acres over the years I’ve also found you can get about 1600 hours before overhaul on the gas models but 3500 hours on the Yanmar diesels. Fuel consumption is about 1/2 as much as the gas equivalents. Make sure to get the optional anti scalp roller.

I will admit that I'm quite jealous! I want one! With a heated hard cab, front end loader, plow, brush grapple, 3 point hitch, and a vast plethora of rear attachments. Ya know just the basics is all.

I like the x758 and all around john deer. But I Opted for the 1025R not much more cost different from the 2. But the 1025R gives all most unlimited attachments.

Engage pto implements like the mower at a lower throttle rpm then move up to whatever manual says do and to disengage an implement slow the rpm a bit. If you engage at full throttle it puts to much stress way too fast on everything and will wear or break it all faster. My Kubota BX recommends 3200 rpm for maximum blade tip speed on a 54 inch deck. Just read the manual or ask your dealer if you can’t find it in the manual. Have fun !

I was hoping you would tell us how much for one like this and I am good at fixing things that backup button would go down under the backup paddle

Run the tractor at full speed to get your deck speed up. I have the X595 which is the same frame and engine as yours. I have a 54 front blade but I use the composite cutting edge on my 80 yards of concrete and hard surface my skid shoes. I also have a loader and snowblower for my tractor also. My neighbor bought the gas model and I can mow three times to his one time now he said he is going to get the diesel next time.

A very nice video and tractor. That yellow button to press when going into reverse is like many other "safety" annoyances and makes the machine more dangerous. I do back and forth work under tree limbs and could not deal with that. Thanks.
