Cover of Don't Say Lazy by K-On!

We were the guest band on 14 Dec's performance at @momlivehouse5788 with host band @EverySpringMatters . Thank you for having us! The audience was great - thank you for the cheers~~ you all averaged 4.5 bottles of beer for the whole night. This is the second song though, so you were all too sober.

"Don't Say Lazy" is a lively and energetic song performed by the fictional band After School Tea Time from the Japanese anime series *K-On!*.

Lyrically, the song expresses themes of determination and the importance of not giving up, encouraging listeners to embrace their passions and pursue their dreams. The playful and somewhat cheeky tone of the lyrics captures the essence of the characters' camaraderie and enthusiasm for their band.

The video was shot by Gil's Insta360; it was kinda far away ya? Next time will bring it just in front of stage.

As for the mix, what you are hearing is a multi-track 24-bit 48khz recording from MoM's mixer (Allen & Heath SQ 6). Btw, thank you to music production team at MoM, Mr Lam and crew, for their excellent job mic'ing the drum and balancing the live sound.

For those more interested in technical stuff and gears, below are more details:

Drummer: Gilbert played MoM's drumkit; it was DW Collector Series 5-pieces including the snare, Zildjian cymbals (14" HH, 16" and 18" A-custom crashes, and 20" K ride). The kit had 10 mics. We assume they are: Shure Beta 91A for inside the Kick, Shure Beta 52A for outside.
A pair of SM57's for snare top and bottom;
Sennheiser e904, e906 for each of the three toms;
A pair AKG C1000S for overheads; and finally,
An AKG C451 for the hi-hats.

Vocal: Cynthia sang into her AKG D5, directly pluged into the house mixing desk.

Guitarist: Bernard played his Ibanez RG2770Z, through his Line 6 Helix LT, mono balanced out into the house mixer.

Bass: Jackson played his Fodera Emperor Standard 5, through his Neural DSP Quad Cortex for effects and mixed DI and cab sim sound), balanced out into the house mixer. What is the Ampeg cab doing on stage? The Quad Cortex had a line out (pre-cabsim) to the SVT 4 PRO return input, which then pushed the SVT 810e cab on stage, just to move some air and shake the stage floor a bit. The audience mostly just heard the bass from PA speakers not the cab.

Keyboard: Jacky played the Yamaha MOXF8, stereo into DI box then to the house mixer.

The mix was done by Jackson, using Logic Pro and Universal Audio and Waves plug-ins. If you think the bass is too loud, well, live with it.

Last but not least, no autotune, no time correction, no pitch correction were used in post mixing.

That's all for this track. Cheers!
