this looks good, but i’ve always grown up putting seasoning in the mix. usually cinnamon, a bit of salt, and nutmeg (i think)

my French toast is more of an egg toast than custard. I add a tiny bit of milk to a couple of eggs and cook it till the egg smells good

That's interesting cuz we do it a lot different and it never turns out soggy our way works but that seems like it works better honestly

We do eggs per 1 French toast (making for way more than 1 or two people but this way works for less people), a tiny bit of milk, a little more vanilla than milk and some cinnamon to taste and it skips the need to toast and we dip each side just enough to coat the entire side of the bread and fry in butter. I'm not joking...they taste and smell like Elephant ears! More egg means less fry time because they're not soggy/too saturated as with as much milk as she shows.

15-20 seconds per side is a long time. That will make it soggy.

Or you can just put 2-5 eggs (depending on how much your making) with a bit milk and dont toast your bread cause its a waste of time
