Gosh I miss this show. My brother and I used to watch it when we’d get home from school; even at a young age we appreciated the quality and humor of Good Eats.

This man contributed in a large part towards making me the culinarian I fancy myself to be today. I defied his advice in going to culinary school, but I never would have forged that interest at all if it weren't for him.

I made made this beef stew the other day. It was a huge hit. The only thing I did was cook potatoes, celery, onions, and carrots in the crockpot with more of the sauce for the 4 hours while the meat braised in the oven. I threw the meat in the fridge to cool and threw the juices straight into the crockpot... Then threw the meat in.Also used a little cumin.

I just finished making this recipe for a bunch of friends. Gauging from their reactions, it turned out amazing. There are a couple steps missing, like how long to cook the onions before adding the potatoes and then the meat. With that said if you follow the instructions the meat will be good enough that the onions and potatoes will be irrelevant. Amazing recipe, thank you Alton!!!

Food Network: Please stop chopping up the episodes! You cannot follow these recipes in the form they are in (you keep cutting out parts of the method), and you cut out all the education and humour that makes Alton Brown more than just another TV cook.

My favorite tv chef. I feel smarter and not fatter after following his recipes

I used hamburger because I'm poor, and tried to leave it chunky while I browned it. Cut the spices, vinegar, Worcester and salt in half and added 3 tablespoons of soy sauce. Omitted the onion and replaced with 5 cloves of garlic and a stick of sliced celery. So good!

Can't believe people are complaining here. I followed the video almost to a T (but I cubed up some chuck pot roast that was on sale cheap) and it was the best stew I ever made. Rave reviews from the entire family.

It's just like Good Eats, but without any of the fun and 1/10th of the information!

I love this show! Very entertaining and informative. There was an episode one time where Alton and another guy dressed up as cowboys and was making chili. I was laughing! Funny guys! Kinda cool that Alton not only cooks but he tells a story and science of the food. Love it!🤗

Ahhh, you are a gent after my own heart. This looks so delish, I can taste it.
The steps look so easy, I'm gonna try it. And I notice your nice brown shirt. How'd you know that brown is my favorite color? And I like how solid/stocky you were in this video. With a frisky, friendly nature about you.
But it was the meat, at the end that got me. It looked so tender. And the way you payed special care to to the cutting removal of that gross grizzle! I'm glad that's important to you too. (because some people are careless).
One of these days, hopefully before I die, I would love for you to cook for me. I'll pick out the meal, and provide the fixings, and you prepare it. And at least on one of those visits, bring Miss Ann Burrell, and maybe she wouldn't mind sharing the love (the cooking).
Thank you for another nice video. This was a comfort to me.
