Shroud of Turin goes on display

An ancient piece of cloth, which some say was used to wrap the body of Jesus, is to go on display for the first time in 10 years.

The Pope should be ashammed of himself for even suggesting that the shroud might be Jesus burial cloth. If he would look in his own Bible, he would see that Jesus beard was torn out, AND that his head was wrapped seperatly, not a one piece like the shroud

The Shroud of Turin is not a mystery if you believe in Resurrection, for my part I have no problem with that.

Don't know where you got the 95% from. However, majority of scientists who have actually worked on the shroud itself believe it to be older. Notwithstanding the article by Ray Rogers, there are also many other pointers to the cloth being older. Hungarian Pray Manuscript for example, from 1195 which depicts the L shaped poker holes and weave of the cloth.

Fortunately, we don't need to play semantics with the shroud. It is, and has been an objective basis for research, and the facts are published. You can either accept the scientific findings or reject them. If the findings aren't in a particular groups favour, dismissive remarks about the topic develop to serve their agenda. Equating pro Shroudies with Flat Earthers is a prime example.

@jlya2012 It may be called faith, but why do people insist on worshipping a useless piece of cloth that has PROVEN to be a hoax by an irrefutable method, i.e. carbon dating?
