The synthesizer sound of the eighties is my era, much to my chagrin., is so soothing in my old age. There seems to be so many “one hit wonders” from this era. Each “hit” sounds like a classic.

This song was actually released twice in the 80's. I think the one you listened to was actually titled "Send Me An Angel 89". Each version had it's own Video as well. They have other songs, "Catch Me I'm Falling" and "God Tonight". I am so glad that you finally listened to this song, I had requested it a while back for you. My favorite reactions videos are when you listen to someone for the first time. You might also like the group ABC and "The Look of Love", "Poison Arrow" as well as other hits of theirs.

Pet Shop Boys blew this sound through the roof. It's A Sin, West End Girls and even The Village People cover of Go West. This sound went with the next wave of British pop. The Aussie brought us theirs too and we welcomed it.

This song was in the movie RAD. I remember watching this movie in ‘85 when BMX was all we wanted to do. Two great songs from this movie are “Break the Ice” and “Thunder in your Heart” from John Farnham (I believe you have already reacted to some of his songs). Anyway…great song and now you have to watch the movie.

Imagine going to your local pub and having the band be these guys, Icehouse, little River band, INXS, Midnight oil, Cold Chisel or the Angels. Welcome to Aussie pub rock 🇭🇲

There are certain songs that just completely encapsulate the vibe of the 80's. This is one of them. I can almost smell the Kissing Potion Lip Balm and Charlie perfume just hearing this song! 😂

Whoa! Two Aussie band first reactions in a row! Man, I loved this song when I was a teenager. Sadly, this was their only MAJOR hit in the US, though they did have a minor hit with "Catch Me I'm Falling", which is also a great song. I remember owning the album this came from, Heartland, on vinyl! (Yes, I'm that old.) "Openhearted" and "Always" were other great tunes from that debut album. (Finally - Scorpions had an outstanding song by the same name in 1991.)

This song was released twice in the 80"s. Released first in 1983 and then a slight re-mix was released in 1988 or 1989.

Such great music was being made in Australia in the 70s and 80s, most of it never reached the rest of the world.

One if my favorites from the 80’s! The original video was a staple on early MTV, I watched MTV back then day and night, and I credit MTV for bringing artists like this to the forefront, if there was no MTV then there probably wouldn’t be many hits like this here in the US in the 80’s.

This is the short version of the song. It was in the movie "RAD" which was about a bmx bicycle competition. Teenage 80's movie.

OK guys.... another AUstralian group around this time came out with a 80s Oz New Wave Classic with my favorite BIG HORNS section of all pop songs - and I know you will love it - "Bitter Desire' from Kids in the Kitchen... oh please!

You need to get into more Depeche Mode, they were one of the biggest synth bands of the 80's, selling out huge stadiums - "Personal Jesus", "Just Can't Get Enough", "People are People", "Master & Servant", "Blasphemous Rumours".

One of my first concerts. They were the opening act for Eurythmics. So awesome. I still have the concert t shirt. My niece wears it.

This was a hit TWICE in the 80's. They recorded an updated version in 1989. I haven't analyzed them, but I don't hear a difference.
