Enable or Disable Hard Disk Write Protection in Windows 10 | Hard drive Locked as Read-Only

In this tutorial, I will show you how to enable or disable write protection for a disk drive or set your volume read-only. This can prevent a hard drive from being formatted. You can set any partition on the disk will be read-only or you can set entire disk read-only in Windows 10 / 8 / 7, without using any third-party software.

What if I do the command "attributes disk clear readonly" and still can not delete files?
It says "Disk attributes cleared successfully." but at "attributes disk
" is still "Current Read-only State : Yes" ?

Thanks. For some reason I suddenly could'nt write to my second disk on windows 10. Last part of your video "attributes disk clear readonly worked" for me.
Had to do the Whole disk instead of Volume selection to get it worked.

For some reason one of my hard drives become "Read Only", which is rather strange, but regardless, I was able to convert it back to normal operation easily. Thank you so much...

Diskpart failed to clear attributes I’ve made it so I have command prompt on my login screen (Admin) Because I cant run it since I locked my C drive and it freezes for like 30 secs when I run as administrator since I locked my C drive and all my administrator permissions are in the C drive

This could have been useful. However, because it is an hard drive, it can be get around. Unlike the SSD, you can't encrypt the drive, it will be too long and too slow.
There is also a risk to set an external drive on read-only?

still say this media is write protected or you will need to use the secety tab to get access I had a ssd fall on my me I had my OS on it so I reinstalled my os on to my other hard drive but now I cant get in to my old files o the other drive says its write protect or dont have permistion but am the admin of the computer dont get it
