In my case my tertiary hard drive (E) is not being detected on first boot or as other say, cold boot. After having the PC off for a long time, every time I boot it up, it doesn't detect my Drive E. It only started doing this about 3 days ago. Even when restarting (i.e. going to the start menu and selecting 'restart') it doesn't detect it.
However, only when I restart it via shutting it down, waiting for a few seconds for the PC to completely power off and then powering it up again after, it boots normally and rather quickly. Everything is as it should.
Tried looking if it need an update but it said it's updated.

For those still having the issue, pls try updating your BIOS firmware. Mine worked after the update. In Lenovo, this can be done by Lenovo's "System Update" program. For some reason, the HDD took a few minutes after I logged in to Windows to get recognized.

UPDATE: It only worked for the first time. Now it no longer shows in the Explorer. But the device is shown in the Device Manager under Disk Drives as "Unknown Device". (And sometimes it's missing from there as well)
