I was stuck at the moment at the hook section. Only the tip of the rope was sensible to the movement of the cubes. I solved it : it was because I didn't select enough vertices as a hook point. If somebody is stuck at the same point : be sure that you are selecting over all your weighted vertices to attach the hook properly.

If anyone has problems with moving the hooks while the animation is playing put the hook modifier to the top of the modifiers tab

Great video really clearly explained thank you MK! May I ask how you would go about this workflow if the object was not from a fixed point and had an active rigid body at each end? for example like a pair of nun-chucks if that makes sense

I like the concept of this and I'm trying to figure out how I can use it for what I need. I'm simulating a 3D printer, and as the print head moves back and forth on the X axes it takes with it one end of a Bowden tube that contains the filament. This tube is fixed is size (length), but move or bends as the print head moves. Can the "Rope" in this example be stiffened so much as to simulate a stiff tube?

if we move the passive cube with location keyframe etc. Everything will follow it? Because from this concept I'm going to create helicopter hanging object while flying. Tell me please?? BTW great content!!!

When I grabbed my hooked object while the simulation was playing at the same time
The hook object moves but not the cable simulation, it seems to stretch the cable in only in the vertex groups area I selected

i have a question, how can i animate the "animated"setting of the rigid body? When keyframing it, it appears as if I stop a spring and the pendulum gets all messed up

Kinda works better without cloth physics. 
But it depends also on the angle of the mesh

The rope is bouncing too much and is too long. Is there a way to make it shorter and less bouncy?

how can I make the upper object move in the simulation and majke the lower part of the hook to follow it ? like a puppet

I don't see the empty when i went to connect the 2 objects. Edit: I find it i had to set to Origin to Cursor before i connected

My rope keeps extending indefinitely when I play the simulation ( it's not bouncing back), what could I be doing wrong?

NVM, must have been a bug: deleted the "connect" constraint, and then re-connected the boxes, and it worked fine.

sir i am facing a problem.. i have added rigid body simulations in my project..i am also adding a flag in this scene. but the flag does not behave normally. how can i simulate a rigid body world and cloth simulation at the same time in a scene.

After watching different tutorials, I still do have the same problem. Hooking doesn't work for me, when I move manually one of the object attached to the cable, only the one selected is moving.. I feel like it is a parameter problem but I don't know which one, if anyone could help me! thanks
