I heard the secret compartment is to store those small handbag umbrellas so it you don't have to bring it into the car and wet the floor. Nice and detailed. Great job.

I wish you would provide a proper analysis of the driver safety systems. I was fooled by multiple road tests into purchasing a P series. If only I knew about the mutliple frustrations with the electronic driver aids I would have opted for even a second-hand alternative.
I mailed GWM SA and they are unwilling to make changes as there are not enough complaints, apparently... My wife's Haval GT have similar but less issues.
Test it very well before you buy one of these.

Great bakkie overall and looks amazing. But with that top of the range at R1m, one will have to really think hard and consider what you spending your R1m on. For now, I feel like I would have gone for the Ranger if I uad a million to spend on a bakkie but I havent really looked deeply at what you get and what you loose between it and the Ranger. Are the tech features enough to sway a decision? Not sure.

Man young South Africans are buying these Chinese cars like candy, i was skeptical at first but now im considering one, im seeing a lot of my friends and family switching from german to Chinese brands, interesting times indeed

Refreshing review angle👍🏾. No qualms about pricing. A black edition may do justice tho. Flying off the radar as well. The brand needs to improve aftersales support and the customer care service something that is abused by established brands.

Great review. For me this is too much of a stylish bakkie and not a farm bakkie. Great looking bakkie overall for heading to malls. For workhorse bakkies simple buttons and less sensors will do.

German brands are about to make a huge comeback because it seems Chinese brands are now becoming as expensive as german cars, and if the consumer has to choose between Chinese and German, i have no doubt German Engineering will win hands down

GWM is NO 1 in China in bakkie development for decades... Thats a combined years of experience of all these German and Japanese brands you trust... Chinese are tooo powerfull... Look at the Steed... Its its here and strong!!! P500 is more bakkie than any on the market!!!
