There’s a guy near me who has a super accurate set of scales. They’re really small but he is obviously skilled enough to bake as there was some flour residue left on them.

I'm sitting here eating the "pumpkin" soup with pine nuts in brown butter that you taught me. I'm in Spain. It's August. 😄 But, I'm moving to Germany next month, so I'm testing out some winter recipes to keep me heartened. Thanks!

And especially if you track macros. Because 1.5 cups of can vary wildly based on how fine you chop.

the basics make such a difference! eg salted butter/vs unsalted and then they never talk about which one in the whole cookbook!

Measuring all my baking ingredients by grams has been a great help with keeping everything consistent. And it helps with calorie and macro counting as well.

It should be legally required to give the amount in grams in a recipe when baking

Grams are good for accuracy and overall better product. Imperial measurements are just an easier less work heavy way of measuring things.

Andy i hope u can answer this for me!!!
Theres an italian lady who. Cooks on YT shorts and she made a “rustic bread loaf” she said that the recipe is just a guide and the real test is the way the dough feels she added the said amount but it was dry so she added a little water twice more to get the consistency she needed.


That goes against all i know abt baking and that is cooking is throwing ingredients together how u like it and baking is science.

Im making a focaccia soon and will do it by grams and MLs

What do u think about that?

Also any focaccia recipes?!??!?!
