How to Not Panic During Market Downturns

The way to not panic is having confidence that we can get through this. There are very solid reasons why this too will pass. Once you realize this, and you invest in a longer term horizon, even a 25% market downturn will recover in time. The trick is time, you can wait it out and it will come back. If you jump out now, you have no way of knowing if it will start to recover tomorrow or a few months from now. Most people cannot predict this and I do not even assume I can do so myself.

I think 50% - 70% losses is possible. We've had a historic 11-year run-up of epic proportions. This tells me that the drawdown could be more severe than a regular recession.

I work at an airport and lately realized how much this actually effects me. The numbers of people flying and arriving has DRASTICALLY decreased and gets less every single day
2 days ago my boss shortened everyones hours to not fire anyone instead and now I'm scared about paying my bills as I've been wasting a lot of money in the past...
I might even go and ask for a part time job in a supermarket close to me, as they are the only business right now that have increased sales by a ton

Wow ! Can you make a video when you think is the time to pull the trigger to jump in. I know it’s not possible to time the markets. But I have been watching your videos for last couple years and I can confidently tell that you have an excellent track record and a much better strategy than any other YouTuber in predicting the market conditions. I have seen you buy and sell through Bitcoin bubble, Tesla crash etc at the right moment. so pls keep us posted. Well thought out video. Went 100% cash with my wife's stock account last week. I'm about 75% cash in my stock account. Like you we easily have a 5 year cushion of basic expenses covered, however, having just turned 70 not in a big rush to get back in until there's blood in the streets which probably means at least a 50% drop if not worse. Given the fed dropped interest rates to zero in a desparate move and the market is still tanking has got to tell you things are gone completely irrational.
