Grabbing ice is probably the best tip to reduce panic attacks and anxiety

Holding onto ice helps! I was having a major panic attack. Hyperventilating, crying and screaming for a long time. My fingers were even drawing back because of the Hyperventilating. I drove to the hospital and I got out of my car and started walking. The cold air brought me down from it. I'm getting attacks now at 49 because I've got too much on my plate. Lost both parents in a year and work stress.

I’ve dealt with almost daily panic and anxiety attacks for the past few years. Really the thing that helps me when I’m having them is medication and breathing techniques. I also call an anxiety hotline which you should have a local mental health hotline. You’re not alone. Mine make me feel like I’m literally dying

I’m tired of living like this. I wake up light headed and feel like I’m walking on a boat. This has caused me to lay in my bed all day and get depressed. The only thing that is a temporary fix is drinking alcohol. I’ve tried multiple things. I’m just tired of dealing with this. Help me lord. I cast my anxiety’s on you but I’m losing.

I just went from having severe anxiety to modarate and decreasing.. Here are a few tips that really helped me.
Don't lose hope. You are not alone
Exercise it really helps trust me
Be socially active
Find something you like
Get good sleep
don't be tired/eat well this one is very important
take constant baths.
Talk to your self
dont be alone for a long time.
Avoid things that triger your anxiety for a bit like mine was mazes and flashin lights.

People also keep those thoughts out of your mind its not worth it. If youve had them before you know what im talking about.

I actually put ice in my mouth and let it melt. I can’t eat it because I have sensitive teeth. But it helps with my anxiety a lot .

I’ve had so many panic attacks, one day whilst fighting it thinking I was dying, I just though on go on I’ll just die I don’t care!! Suddenly the panic attack vanished.. now (doesn’t work all the time) I try not to fight it, I fly with it… though my best help is my oximeter.. if I feel I can’t breath I use it, like always at 98/99 instantly I tell myself I’m fine, plenty of oxygen, no pain.. it’s not real . Calm down, I’m fine and safe!!!

That’s absolutely true, cold weather seemed to help me when I was panicking, I’d walk in the cold without a jacket for a few minutes and it helped.

It is one of the scariest feelings a human can encounter, feeling like you’re about to die, even though you know it’s a panic attack, is so bad.

From depression to derealisation(everything feeling like a dream) to anxiety attacks(short breath), to lump in the throat, I’ve had derealisation in the 5 past days, feels like you dreaming the whole time like everything and everyone isn’t real. It comes from overthinking and depression and triggers anxiety. Even now I have anxiety, I’ve always had anxiety just that it just became worse due to overthinking deep things. I’m slowly moving away from derealisation each day, thank God 🙏.

Everyday it feels like I’m fighting for my life. I can’t yawn or take deep breaths and that causes my panic attacks and I just can live like this anymore tbh it’s killing me
