“You’re everything we’ve come to expect from years of government training.” 😂 I’ve always loved that little dig LOL

Cosidering K has been waiting for this moment for 30 years, he's hiding it pretty well.

"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. "

A line that sticks with me every time I see a crowd reacting to something, no matter what it is.

“And most of them are decent enough, there just trying to make a living”

That’s one of my favorite things about MIB, it goes out of its way to say that most aliens aren’t evil.

2:50 the novelization added this. “You put a bunch of people together and you spook them, what you have is a mob. And a mob is only as smart as its dumbest member.”

I like moments like this where the protagonist is given time to think over a life changing decision, it shows that they take the matter seriously. Nowadays in movies the protagonist instantly makes the decision without thinking about it.

The fact that K had took responsibility for looking after J ever since his father died in Boris's hand in 1969 was such a big secret to keep

I watched it again this week. It holds up perfectly. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have crazy chemistry, the jokes are still fun, the CGI looks decent. Great movie

I like the sadness you see in Tommy's face after he mentions about having to sever human contact. K knows that sadness

I love when K got asked "Is it worth it?" He immediately answered "it's worth it" probably because of what he's done as an MIB, but then followed up after a brief pause "if you're strong enough" because he throught about it from J's perspective and knew for a newbie it would be difficult to adjust.

I love how much more subdued this film is than the others. The sequels get really over the top, but this one actually makes the MIB feel real.

I love the scene at 4:00 where he’s just thinking for hours about the proposition to that music with the nyc backdrop. Lotta movies these days just skip the smaller yet highly important beats like these. Brings realism and atmosphere to your story rather than just rushing the plot along with nonstop exposition from characters

The conversation between K and J on the bench is one of my favorite scenes of all time.

K's quote about a person vs people really is one of the most important lessons of all time. It's not just a good sounding quote, it's one of the most useful thought processes to keep in mind at all times if you're dealing with either 1 person or multiple people in any given circumstance.

"Cab drivers." "No, not as many as you'd think." I always loved how quick K's reply to that was, and how knowing as well. Like it's SUCH an obvious observation that he answers more or less reflexively.

"15 minutes ago, you knew people were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know kind of speech, would (If I was young and fit) have me volunteer for that type of work.

This lesson changed my life. "A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals." It's been proven time and time again during my time working in emergency response. Abiding to this fact, I have been able to save countless lives by keeping information on a need-to-know basis and steering intelligent individuals in the right direction.

"AWWW you brought that tall man some flowers 😊" that line along with the photo never fails to make me laugh

That's Agent K, pointing out the difference between the psychology of the _individual_ and the psychology of the _crowd._ A sterling bit of wisdom I didn't know I _needed_ when I first saw this movie.

"Gentlemen, congratulations! You're everything we've come to expect from years of government training."
Such as the ability to follow orders without thinking.
In a way, he is mockingly telling them how naive they are, without them ever realizing it because their memories of him telling them this will be erased in a minute.
