Urinary tract infections are very coming in women because of the short uerthral length and the proximity to the vagina and the anus. The common causes of Urinary tract infections are the bacteria travelling from the anus to the urethra because of the wiping from the back to the front after using the bathrooms. The best way to prevent this is to wipe from front to back. The second common cause of UTI is no drinking sufficient quantities of water and holding the urine in the bladder for too long. It is advised to drink aleast 2 – 3 litres of fluids in a days’ time in a cool winter day or in a hot summer increase the amount to 3 -4 liters of water, Use the restroom more frequently to prevent any retention of urine and any bacterial contamination of Urinary tract infection can be acquired by using infected public restrooms. This can be prevented by using sanitizers and napkins to cover the toilets. It is also common after unprotected intercourse and the best way to prevent is to maintain local hygiene before and after intercourse.
