We need more breakdowns like this from our healthcare providers. She seems informed and trustworthy and transparent.

I currently have a UTI, so I’ve been watching a lot of videos on YouTube about them, and I have to say this is a really good one.

Knowing the signs and symptoms in older women, especially if they are non verbal, is really important if you help any older adults in your family.

This was the most informative video on cystitis that I have seen. In 2021, I was diagnosed with non invasive high grade bladder cancer. I’m in remission right now, but because I’d the high grade, the cancer has a good chance of recurring. Cystitis has been a problem, but you have answered so many about the condition. THANK YOU so much!!

I love this, I am extremely prone to them after growing up in a sexually abusive home until I was about 13. My bladder and kidneys were damaged alot from the reoccuring UTIs (i would get them 1-2 times a month). Even as an adult now, I have at least 1-2 a year. Thank you for educating correctly!!!

If you use cranberry juice it is important to use the unsweetened concentrated juice. Tastes terrible but it helps to clean things up.

I watched so many videos on UTI’s and this video is the first that is clear and honest! Thank you

Everybody that talks about urinary tract infections skips a really crucial symptom that occurs in the older population which is confusion, personality change, and other cognitive impairments. Sometimes those occur in the absence of any physical issues like urgency or pain.

This was a remarkably helpful video. The Doctor spelled all the symptoms and treatments so clearly and she answered many questions that many of us have about UTI's. Thank you!

A urologist specialist yelled at me once because he thought I was lying about my UTI because he couldn't find anything. He told me that he couldn't help me so I went to a home doctor and she gave me a Urine culture test. She was able to find my problem and save my sanity.

3:58 “A urine culture takes about five days to grow out in a laboratory. And that will tell us what the organism is and which antibiotics are appropriate for that organism.” Glad this was posted. All my urgent care NP did was the urine dip stick, issued antibiotics and sent me out the door. Next time I will request a urine culture.

Just an FYI, I didn't have any of these symptoms. I had odor and slight bleeding which just got worse until I woke up in the middle of the night shaking like a leaf. Went to the hospital with Sepsis. UTI's can kill you so don't ignore weird symptoms!

Taking d-mannose along with probiotics was very effective for me as far as clearing up a persistent UTI and preventing any further ones. Hope this helps someone else

Even though there's a possibility it will go away on it's own, I still wouldn't risk it because waiting could make it worse, as you said, it can spread to your kidneys.
