I’m Viet born in USA and I have a lot of respect for my Indian friends for their discipline and career oriented mind set.

if you work at a tech company, you will notice Indians are always looking for opportunities to learn new skills and volunteer for any social events. They are quite ambitious.

As a SE Asian (Vietnamese), I have huge respect for Indian-Americans. Their work ethic & emphasis on education has made them have the highest median income out of any other ethnic group in America.

I'm Korean and I too have huge respect for Indians.
They're great people. Online, I don't find alot of Indians to be trolls as much as other Asians. They seem to be more respectful. I'm happy about their success with RRR. We're gonna see alot more Indian content in the coming years. I wish our Indian friends all the success in the world.

India is largely Hindu. One of central idea of Hinduism is questioning everything and accepting nothing just because you are told so. Debate is very important to us, accepting status quo is not our thing. Our religion has no 10 commandants that we have to follow or we end up in hell kind of scenario. We argue we disagree and then when all points are discussed we come to an agreement if we want to :D

As an Indian I am proud to see those Indians having such high positions. Makes me want to work harder and achieve more.

Like Bane told Batman: You adopted darkness, I was born in it.
Same thing goes for India. We are born in such a competitive environment, that western education becomes easy for us.

Just from growing up with other Asian Americans growing up, they're as career driven as any other Asian I think but I do think they have a very strong family culture and backbone. Other Asian may tend to be ashamed of their culture whereas most of the Indian people I know are very proud of the cultural stuff they're doing outside of work and talks about it openly. I think that allows them to be free of who they are, which translates to their success. Just my perspective though

Regarding 2nd point, a lot of Indians who lived in west for years like 10-15 years are coming back to India. Currently the vibe is that growth is better in India than West.

I felt this wasn't expanded on exactly. India is an extremely multiethnic country unlike East Asian countries(China is marginally multiethnic). We don't have any majority ethnicity. And there are hundreds of languages spoken. That kind of helps us deal with diverse groups of people. Also, many native Indians can have facial structures that match East Asian people or even people from Africa.

This blessing happen when you don't judge people based on how they look and skin but based on heart skill and loyal hardworking it's like natural stuff

I would say India being an English speaking country also helps. Yes they got accents but that goes away. They don't need to worry with language issues.

I am an Indian staying in India but worked in a Multi National American company for 9 years and then started my own enterprise in India.
We also tied up with other American & European Companies for business association.
I found your analysis excellent as you both have open minds, reasonableness and open to learn qualities and had really reseached as you saw it .
My experience is somewhere deep down Indians believe in reincarnation, theory of Karma, practice detachment in life which makes them to be more courageous, assertive, process oriented and inclusive in nature. These virtues if practised for long time can make you very strong to face any situation with calm mind & to convert chaos to opportunity for your team. Hope it helps in understanding this complex phenomenon.

Never thought of it that way, but yes we are a lot more argumentative than other people. Like Sadguru famously said, even the Gods couldn't give any commandments to Hindus. He had to face questions after questions on every advice that He gave (eg. Shiva being questioned by his wife Parvati or Krishna being questioned by his cousin & friend Arjuna).

each state in India is different in terms of clothes they wear, language they speak and rituals/practices they follow, its because of this diversity and understanding that when Indians travel abroad they are able to adjust and blend into other cultures.

This was a nice try but I think it would have been better to interview an actual Indian. Like assuming East Asians are hierarchal and submissive but not Indians isn't really true, in India ppl are supposed to just follow elders and senior managers without questioning them. Assuming the reason East Asians aren't making CEO is because most of the talented ones moved back to East Asia is a big assumption that I doubt is true, many stayed in the US and just hit the banana ceiling. Honestly, US corporate culture is just more racist to East Asians than South Asians. And assuming most of the CEO's are Hindu Brahmin is a big assumption, never ever seen a study on this. The Twitter CEO for instance isn't technically a Brahmin. I think a better argument is that Indians will help out other Indians who are from their same state/city/village. The IP stuff is hilarious, if they are worried about an Chinese CEO stealing IP then why hire Chinese for any positions? It's the ppl at lower levels who have more daily access to IP, yet I'm sure Microsoft and Google have tons of Chinese origin engineers. Finally, there are Indians in the financial world: Mastercard had an Indian CEO who just left, Citi and Deutsche Bank had in the past. There also Indian CEO's in other non-tech comps like Gap, Albertsons, Match.com and former CEOs of US Airways & Pepsi.

100% know what you mean by good communicators. I've had those experiences with my colleagues and the best professors where their command of the English language is next-level and that's more than grammar and vocabulary; it's the ability to navigate through complex points in a structured manner that's logical and easy to understand. The first time I met someone like that, I was so impressed by the person and then the more and more Indian people I met like that I realized that there's definitely a pattern of success. Of course, not everyone is like this but the ones that are raised this way are absolutely incredible people.
