With a multi-billion dollar industry in India, skin bleaching is very common among the Indian population. But how are people with fair skin treated in India? Do they get preferential treatment? We hit the streets of Mumbai to find out.

The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Indian population.

Special thanks to our Asian Boss team in Mumbai.

The youth in India are flourishing and are extremely smart ...I'm glad they have an opinion stronger than society.

I'm french studying in America and my girlfriend she's indian .!! once I saw her applying some kind of mixture on her face when I asked what what it is ? she said it's lep ( a kind of mixture including curd, turmeric, gram flour rose water) when I asked why she's doing this she said it's because she wants to have fair skin
Like baby you're already fair why do you even need that
She's the most beautiful girl I've ever saw !! We both met in birthday party of a friend gosh I still can't forget the day when I first saw her dammm 😍

I’m half white and whenever I visit my cousins in India they compliment me on my “fair” skin and it’s honestly heartbreaking because they are so gorgeous

Asia : skin bleaching
Foreigners: skin tanning

This shows that no one is happy with the skin tone they have.

I have a gorgeous friend ( she’s from India), she said she never got compliments about her beauty in India, she was rather told that she’s too dark . it’s only when she started traveling that people would tell her that she’s strikingly beautiful .

Can we talk about how intelligent the indians interviewed here were. I mean out of all the videos i watched in this channel, indians are very spontaneous and fluent in answering even in the English language.

People can't even imagine what kind of mental trauma dark skinned people go thru in India... It's horrible...

In modern times the biggest contributor to “fairness” is BOLLYWOOD. Not a single dark successful lead actor.
