This song IS Skyrim. A mix of joy and melancholy. And the feeling of home.

The feeling of playing Skyrim at 2 am. Walking over another crest of a hill and seeing another breathtaking view. Slowly moving my view to fit the music, putting myself into a trance of awe and poise. Standing in the small town of Rorikstead and just watching the NPCs go about their day. I wish so dearly I could go back to the simplicity and beauty of my first time playing Skyrim for hours on end. The feeling still hits me when playing sometimes....but never the same. If only we could live in would be so much better....at least to me....

Guys is it just me or does half of the skyrim soundtrack songs make you tear up a bit because of how Magical they are?

One word to define Skyrim's soundtrack: Immersive. And no other soundtrack has made it so well. When I hear it, I immediately imagine myself in the game, and an incredible feeling of nostalgia comes to me.

Haven’t heard this beautiful masterpiece in a very long time. It may sound cheesy but hearing it after so many years unlocked so many memories of this game and my high school years. Man I wish I could go back and experience this for the first time again. Thank you Bethesda for making this game in my lifetime. I’ll forever be grateful!

In the comment section, you encounter people/gamers who you exactly know how they feel when listening to this. The feeling of cold winds, storming your face as you try to make your way through the snowy landscape. And that is something I wouldn't trade for anything.

"I've been looking for you. Got something I'm supposed to deliver... your hands only. Let's see here... ah, a letter from the Jarl! Moving up in the world, eh? Looks like that's it. Got to go."

1, 700+ hours on PC, and another 500 or so on the PS3. Long live Skyrim.

I can go days... weeks... months without playing Skyrim. Then, when I finally log back in, my character is waiting for me to forward our adventure. This game is and always will be inviting. It is really captivating and the soundtrack just brings shocks of nostalgia and joy through my body.

I remember it was November 11, 2011. This game comes out and I said to my older brother “this game looks so lame wtf” and he’s like “whatever you say man.. you didn’t even play it yet”. Two months go by and my cousin is playing Skyrim and watching him play it, I felt like an ignorant bastard for judging a game without playing it. That same week, I begged my older brother to buy it for me and he did. He got it for my Xbox 360, and he got his own for his PS3. One thing is for certain, this game brought me and my brother closer. We bonded over this game and we were always in competition to see who would be the strongest Dovahkiin to roam the lands of Skyrim.

To anyone reading this, I won’t waste any more of your time. This game has been a huge impact in my life, and I still play it from time to time. It’s a true masterpiece that I believe is beyond explanation.

To whoever is reading this, I hope the road ahead of you is bright and clear. Safe travels, my friend. And may the Divines guide you.

listening to this ost is making me cry, the nostalgia is so strong, and even if the nostalgia weren't a part of it, I'd still be getting emotional just from how moving the music is on its own

Just my two cents:
I’ll turn 50 next year and discovered Skyrim for the first time less than a month ago.
Long story short: after playing all my youth from c64 to playstation 2, I’ve been quit videogames for almost 15 years.
A couple of months ago I’ve gifted myself with an xbox and…thanks to Game Pass I discovered this wonderful pearl I didn’t know yet: Skyrim.
Never thought I could love a game so much…I simply get lost in it and must really fight against myself for not staying there too long! 😀
Its soundtrack is simply wonderful and contributes massively to game epicness: Far Horizons is the best track so far.
So, now I’m an husband, a father and at least once a day a badass barbarian ready to fight and to live fabulous adventures!
Thanks Skyrim and thanks Jeremy Soule for giving me such incredible feelings!
