I discovered this game about 4 years ago. I was 67. I'd never played a video game in my life. It is now my sanctuary. And the musical score is medicine for the soul.

One doesn't stop playing Skyrim. One merely pauses.

This isn’t just a video game or a soundtrack anymore, it’s a part of my soul

Jeremy Soule does not get enough credit for this amazing score.

Thank you for this, Elder Scrolls music is something unparalleled when playing the game but hearing the London Orchestra playing this just hits on a whole other level.
This will be on loop in my house for the next few months <3

I couldn't understand English when I first started playing in 2011, but I created my character anyways. Aragon the ginger (tried to write Aragorn but I didn't know how to pronounce his name too), Nord, sword and shield.

I played on my father's laptop, and for fear of breaking the right mouse button, I adopted a stronger weapon that I thought would carry me without blocking through the game, a warhammer.. I also didn't know we have to press and hold left mouse button to fully charge an arrow to fire it properly.

Saw in some random walkthrough a guy speaking these words: "infinite gold" and "Mount Anthor". Then I went to Mount Anthor to find the gold, found one of my firsts memorable dragon battles, I couldn't fire arrows properly, so we fought through the whole Sunday night. Sleepless, some hours to an exam, and didn't found the gold. But I had such a glow of excitement in my eyes that since that day, all my school friends knew about this amazing experience that is Skyrim.

With the passing of the months, this game quickly became my favorite English teacher. Making me genuinely interested in the language, so I could understand the dialogs, books, and quests. Year after year, more and more I could understand this language. So many positive things happened in my life because of it, that is difficult to express in words the appreciation I feel for that. Thank you, Skyrim : )

And for those who stopped by to hear this stranger's confession: Wind Guide You : )

Skyrim is a game that I wish I could forget, just to play it again for the first time. :(

You can't tell someone who hasn't played it what Skyrim means. You can't describe it. Skyrim is an experience, not just a game. And if you're one of those who hasn't played it - play it. Experience it. Trust me, you'll never regret it.

Nothing gives you goosebumps quite like your first ever Skyrim play-through. I’ll never forget that. If I live to see Elder Scrolls 6 I’ll be one happy gamer.

Does anyone else come back to this just to bask in how incredible of a job they did?

Far Horizons will always be remembered as one of the best pieces ever written for a video game.

I’ve played this game for so many hours that every note of this music is permanently etched into my soul.

The Dragonborn music hits places no other song does. Whether it’s nostalgia, the fantastic composing, or just the plain power of the piece, it’s a wonderful piece of gaming history.

I don’t know how they can sing that without breaking down into tears.

It’s just so beautiful

Skyrim is a world full of monsters to fight, people with stories to tell, and adventures to be conqured. But the music is what makes it feel like home.

Absolutely lovely. I'm a 50ish lady, and Skyrim has been my retreat from difficulties for many years. So grateful for everyone who had a hand in creating this magnificently epic game.

36:40 Kyne's peace is so magical. Hearing it in the game I actually felt like I was there. I didn't move an inch and just kept looking at the beautiful night sky of Skyrim to have a moment where I don't run around doing quests and just sink in the beauty of this game. This game is a work of art

Skyrim may not have the best game mechanics. It may not have the biggest map, the best storytelling, the best quest design or the best graphics. But Skyrim, unlike any other video game world I've ever experienced, always felt like a real place to me, with it's very own heart and soul. I've never felt such a deep connection to a game ever again and it will always be a part of me. Listening to Far Horizons, The Streets of Whiterun or From Past to Present always makes me emotional. It feels like home to me.
