Hey, this is Part 1 of the Blender 2.8 Absolute Beginners Course created by Chocofur! In this tutorial, I want to walk you through the Blender 2.8 Installation process and facing the interface for the first time! If you don't want to end your adventure with Blender 10 seconds after launching it for the first time (being intimidated by the number of options, settings, sliders etc.) you must check out this video and all the other ones from the playlist :-)

► Blender shortcuts for this video and more:

► Blender 2.8 Interior Visualization Course:

English is not my mother tongue, I may be talking a bit slow so you may consider watching the videos with 1.25 - 1.5 speed :-)

I watched all 20 videos this week. It was daunting at first but these tutorials were very educational.

Thanks for the video. Very clear, slow paced and taling. Easy to follow your english spoken video for a foreign guy.

Thank you VERY much! I finally found not only what program to start teaching myself - but ALSO the right teacher, going at a digitally illiterate old man's appropriate pace. Looking forward to getting it! You are of incredible help.

Stick with these tutorials. I came back from tutorial 11 to say by tutorial 5 you will feel like you already know Blender. Great tutor.

So far, very good video. You might want to add key presses in your videos so that we can see and you won't have to explain your key presses as much. Just a thought.

Hi, i learned a lot and am trying to make this. but do you know where is the 'Display>Only Render' checkbox in blender 2.8? Somehow the lighting, camera, cursor all disppeared in my view window. I also cannot highlight the object, nor can i highlight the line or vertex when I select them, although they were actually selected because I can move them. thanks

I took the time, and effort, to log in, just to thank you. You do a very good job at purveying the instructional information. That is the major underlying problem with the educational system, and has been for many years. The educational system takes one teacher, and attempts to teach, lets say, 20 students. But that doesn't work. Each human being, relates, or jives, or sync's differently, with different people. That being said, if you do not jive, or sync well with your instructor, you WILL NOT learn. Each human, needs a rapport, or a connection, in some manner, with the person who is instructing, or it will fail. But the education doesn't see this, or, chooses NOT to see it. Unfortunately, you can take someone who has been labeled as a, "dummy" by society, and with the CORRECT teacher, can become an engineer. Long and short, I relate to your persona and teaching method, there fore, your videos help me a lot, thank you.
