Don't agree to so many X-rays, they are not harmless

Thank you! Since my beloved Dad couldn't do my teeth, I would argue with my dentist about the need for constant xrays. They don't know I can mentally analyze what they are doing - my Dad taught me well! I would go and assist my Dad with emergencies during the early mornings - he would never charge an emergency fee. When my Dad passed over, former patients came to me to let me know how my Dad would do free dental/orthodontic work just to give them a better life. Thank you for looking out for the greater good!

I am absolutely astonished at how bamboozled I have gotten from dentists in Maine. I am currently saving money each paycheck starting this Wednesday after seeing your videos and checking out your website! I currently have dentures and my mouth is so sore all the time and I cannot eat or chew certain well actually 98% of foods or taste anything anymore. So I will be coming to see you hopefully after income taxes <3 Thank you for all your videos and the amazing work you do to help other people

HI DOCTOR. It makes me so sad to realize that scams also exist with dentists. 🦷 I’m a 28 year old Christian Conservative. I started a job at Western Dental. I was really excited and happy to start my career with them as a Care Coordinator. I was told when I got hired that I had to sell 10k monthly. Once I started working with them I saw how they did all these things just to achieve their daily goals. I was so uncomfortable because I could never scam people over money. I wanted to help people not ruin them. It made me so sad, I quit. I can’t believe how money can turn people into evil. 😢

I am lucky to have an amazing dental office that don't pressure me into expensive procedures. Today they actually talked me out of some work.

You sound like a wonderful human being. When I was 18 living in Florida I worked in a Dental / Denture Clinic. I did things I didn't know were illegal till later. The Dentist had five rooms and five assistants. We took a patient in, mixed the alginate, put it in trays and yelled, ready in room 2! He would come in, Hi how ya doing?, and shove it in their mouth then leave. I had gagging patients, would adjust dentures by grinding, and assisted in extractions. All untrained. He would say, "They're like Cattle - Herd em' in and Herd em' Out".
One day a very elderly patient lost control of his bowels and shat his pants. The Dentist opened the back door and put him outside and just left him there laughing about it! I went out to him and helped him call his wife to come and get him for a ride and waited with him. I walked in and QUIT! Guy was a heartless greedy F. That was in Boca Raton in 1979/80 I've referred my Best Friend and Father to you so maybe one day they will be your patients :)
Thanks!

In other countries people may not have perfect teeth, but they are functional. Lots of crowns and bridges. Lots of gold and silver...In USA it is all about the look, about the Hollywood smile, about comparing our smile to others. And those with bad smiles are made fun of...people compare cars, houses, clothes, watches... etc.

Another problem is with incompetent office help, know they owe you money they erroneously charged, and have no interest in issuing a refund. I'm elderly on a fixed income and I probably will never get back the money they owe me but at least I can never go back to them. I have over the years learned to beware of people in many professions who are trying to upsell services and have learned to walk away now.

I recently had a tooth extracted that had an infection. I'm always going to wonder if I should have waited more, like the dentist was saying I could do, and if it would have healed and I'd have my tooth. Buy everyone else was saying how dangerous infections are and that it needed to be treated right away. How did people deal with tooth infections in the old days? How do people live with tooth infections, especially in poorer areas? I lived in Mexico for a number of years, I don't remember anyone dealing with that. I was surprised they don't always use anesthesia to fill cavities, though.

I've learned that dentists, vets and car dealerships are the rip off artists in this world above all else. Thank you for being one of the few honest dentists with truth for your patients and affordable care.

Great video. I know you cannot trust all Dentists from experience. Decades ago I had my teeth deep cleaned due to my 6 mo. check up. A few weeks later I went to another Dentist because my normal Dentist was on vacation due to my chipped filling. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and two other fillings replaced, I realized at that moment you cannot trust some Dentists and I don't.

It's a minor scam, but tooth whitening treatments that just dry out your teeth so they look whiter when you leave the clinic, but within a couple of hours are right back to their previous color.

Hi, the dentist I go to I feel something isn’t right with them, they said I needed upper dentures, which I got, telling me a I have periodontal disease and need cleanings every 3 months, just went to get impressions for my permanent dentures and every time I go they always want a payment without billing my insurance first, is this normal? I got stuck last year taking out care credit and Sunbit just to pay for things to pay them, it was to much ty for being honest and exposing the ways some dentists aren’t honest

My mistake was doing some crowns that were really not necessary. One that never fit right led to an infection and root canal months later when I had no issues. The meme was the tooth was dead? But I now realize humans get infections all the time and some are painful BUT the body heals itself.

I had a Sociopath Dentist file my 8 top front teeth into teeny tiny nubs without discussion or permission. Now my two front teeth are gone and so is another one. I can't work, see friends and rarely leave the house because my ugly teeth. She had 236 counts of patient neglect and she did the same thing to others. She went to California and got a license there. A year later she was revoked. Fifteen YEARS later, SHE IS STILL PRACTICING! In 2021 she said she would fix the front teeth only and one implant. I drove all the way down there then she refused to fix them.

When I called offices, I found consults to cost $150 to $500! Insane.

I don't know what is going on in my area of FL, but in my search for a new dentist, I see a trend in the dentist office hours with a private practice, they only work four 8-hour days and many are making one of those 4 days a 1/2 day. And that is a good reason why so many who can afford to fly to another country or cross over to Mexico to get their teeth worked on or redone elsewhere.
