No dental insurance? No problem! Let's talk about HOW to get quality dental work at a discounted price!

If you don’t have dental insurance or are thinking about dropping your coverage because it hardly pays for anything, dental discount plans can save you a boat load of money. Especially if you’re planning on a smile makeover or need a lot of dental treatment. The easy-to-understand discounts take the guesswork out of insurance claims, and you never run out of benefits. Plus, you usually get 100% coverage on your checkups, similar to a traditional insurance policy. Many dental offices are converting to private dental savings plan programs because it’s a win-win for both them and their patients.

I have a discount plan and it really helped so much. My teeth were in really rough shape and sadly, I was one of those people that thought going to the dentist was not possible because I was literally in the poor house . But it got to the point where I needed to do something so I called a local dentist's office and let them know my situation. They told me about discount plans and also offered payment plans. They really took the time to work with me to get the care I needed. It was such a relief that I cried happy tears. Now my teeth & gums are gorgeous & healthy. Discount plans are definitely worth it and talking to your dental office is too. 9 times out of 10 they have options to help you as well. Reach out! 😁

Dental insurance should be part of health insurance in my opinion. Dental health is directly related to physical health.

I use 1Dental too! I've never had dental insurance, and I probably won't ever get it unless it's paid for by my job. My discount plan works so well, I literally save at least 50% off every time I go in to the dentist, it's amazing. I use it mainly for cleanings and some fillings, but my husband used it to get his wisdom teeth removed, and it knocked the bill down by about 40% off! I was so impressed. No annual maximums means BIG savings every year. Thank you for the video!

I promote dental discount plans ALL the time! Idk who’s listening lol- they don’t tend to believe that it’s so affordable & saves so much money. A few yrs ago I joined a plan for only 10 or so a month that saved me half my dental bill that would have been thousands. I think they may be better than insurance. As u have said in a past video, dental ins, unlike med, hasn’t changed since the 80s?! Wow!

I have a private dentist in the UK (Outside of the NHS) which offers much better care and attention to your teeth. Most offer dental plans such as mine, I pay £15 each month which covers 2 annual check-ups and dental hygienist visits so you don't actually have to pay anything on the day out of pocket. All additional treatments is also 10% off with the plan.

im lucky - i have a very good plan through my workplace. i had a cleaning last week (2 are covered yearly for free) a root canal this morning which covered 80% of procedure (i paid $162) and i will pay $700 for the crown. however, i wanna echo what she was saying. in the office, someone came in with extreme tooth pain and didnt have insurance. he said he has $500 in cash and wants the tooth pulled because he cannot afford the root canal and crown. the receptionist said they will only do that as a last resort and offered to put him on a payment plan of $150/month for 6 months after he paid the $500. the man was VERY grateful and was seen as i was leaving. if you do not have insurance, it def behooves you to call various offices and get rough prices. most will work with you!

I’m not sure how it is in other areas, but where I live, a regular dental cleaning costs anywhere from $300-$700 and if you add a dental exam with your cleaning, you’re looking at around $900. I used to go to this dentist that had its own private practice type of insurance and when I couldn’t pay the annual fee to renew the “insurance” the dentist himself turned me away from just a standard dental cleaning for $300, which I was prepared to pay for out of pocket. He claimed that he doesn’t do any standard cleanings without an exam so if I would have wanted to have my teeth professionally cleaned, I was going to have to pay the $900. With those prices, dental insurance is a must where I live, but I hadn’t even been aware of dental discount plans and will definitely check it out. Thanks.

I have never had dental insurance, as an adult. I always pay out of pocket. Dental offices never seem surprised that you no insurance.

Our plan available through work would cost about $90 a month for our family of four but the annual maximum is $1500 😳 that’s it?! My husband needs a ton of dental work so I don’t think the insurance would be worth it right?
