How on Earth is this a rumor. They have been selling the NHS off for year piece by piece.

"For the majority of years of the NHS existence, it has been run by Conservative Governments."

Perhaps that explains why it is dying a slow death from chronic, long term underfunding.

It's all a big joke to these lot, they'll be living like Kings and Queens for the rest of their lives. They've destroyed our way of life, while at the same time they've been filling the pockets of themselves and their friends.

If there is any hint of privatisation there needs to be a storming of parliament and Downing Street.

Also paying for GP and A&E will actually increase the overall cost of the NHS as it discourages people from going, which means people will not get things checked out early and the earlier something is found the cheaper and easier to solve the problem is. For example the NHS says if you have a cough for two weeks go to see your gp. But if it cost people won't and the cancer will progress further and the procedure and likelihood of loss of life increases.

What happened to simple answers? "No I won't make the NHS charged for" is simple or "yes I will" and he can deal with being mobbed.

Mr.Speaker, we on the conservation benches have many shares in many medical companies that would greatly profit if the NHS was sold off, so for once I'll be honest, of course it's going to be sold, us lot will become far richer than most plebeians could ever imagine...

Why do they find it so difficult to answer a question properly instead of omitting things and evading it.

Because all the privatised services are working so well in the country, Tories want to privatise healthcare too. Only this time, when you're paying through the nose for a substandard service, it will affect your health. Half a million Americans are bankrupt because of healthcare costs in the US every year - soon the UK can join that 'privileged' state.

The speaker at 30seconds in is far more interested in laughing and joking. Shouldn't he be taking notice of the debate or is he just there for show?

"Just because we've broken the NHS and have been funneling funding through the NHS to private healthcare and have no plans to fix the NHS doesn't mean you can't trust us."

The Tories have no mandate to do half of what they are doing.

This issue is quite simple. NHS England report directly to a USA healthcare insurance provider, who reports directly to US Secretary of State for Health, the US SEC, and the UK Secretary for Health. The NHS has been in the process of quiet privatisation since 2007. This is actually happening, not rumour.

I will always campaign against NHS privatisation, and I have lots of spare time on my hands to do it seeing as I'm looking at 4+ years on the sick waiting for an NHS op.

Here in NZ we pay for GP visits. There is support for those who need a large number of GP visits. Children are also free. Those on benefit get some support too. But it is a problem. People postpone visits because they can’t afford it. If you are sick and require a doctors note which most do if they miss more than 2 days it’s a big cost when you aren’t being paid as sick pay isn’t paid for part time or casual or independent contracts. Pharmacists are the main area of support but mostly A&E which is free gets hugely pressured in winter

Rumors? It takes an entire year to get a dermatology appointment! If they weren't trying to privatize it they would FUND it. They would fund training, build/expand hospitals, provide the service it was meant to provide. I have read about brits now paying to fly oversees and having knee/hip surgeries carried out in Lithuania because it's cheaper and you get a better service. The NHS has been purposely defunded, purposely broken down, and purposely bit by bit privatized. Leveling up is about the TORIES leveling UP...not about you or I.

I would love to see how the NHS (gov) would reinforce making people pay. If no one partakes in paying, the idea will collapse in a heart beat. And if this does happen its on EVERY news outlet to expose members of parliament who benefit from any tax related payment and who's wealth exceeds expectations of a public servant. The UK gov was not designed for a wealthy pocket of people to take power and rewrite the rule book in their favour, it was designed to 'support' and maintain a wealthy and fair society. Where has that gone, you can literally SEE the damage this lot have done! So shameful.

As always, hugely useful. Is there no better way to deal with this? A speaker who did the job properly would be a start

I do pay for my GP and A&E. Have done whilst paying tax all my working life. People will not go and get treated or receive a diagnosis that may affect their long term health and affect the NHS spending later on.
