A Technique That Changes Your Dog Forever.

For all sensitive people out there, I can empathize with you watching these "techniques". I suffered from bullying for 12 years, meaning I know what violence and abuse feels like and most importantly the intent behind those actions which is EVERYTHING. Dog Daddy is imitating pure dog behaviour way more mildly.

This dog is not crying as such, it's anxiety releasing whining, and most of its intensity and volume is produced by the massive pent up energy that dog, in healthy, social, natural normal dog life conditions shouldn't ever have. Pretty much like you hysterically laughing/shouting when being tickled versus being so relaxed not even the worst tickle will trigger you.

I volunteered for 3 years for a Pitbull rescue specialized in dog fighting industry. I have seen what real damage and mistreating to dogs is, let alone what a real dog fight looks like.

I found out this very technique one day separating two of our rescues one of which went into locking mode on the other. It works miracles and it takes no effort, neither pain. Similar to what you use when someone is unconscious, pushing the rear of their ear, to wake them up or say, oh they are truly gone.

Imagine mom nipping a dog when one of his pups energy is too high or "dangerous" for her when breast-feeding. She takes no prisoners!

By the way, dropping comes with opening mouth. Opening mouth equals "releasing pray". Whatever it is. I use the drop command or even this "nip" when my dog is in "sniper mode" and won't let his eyes go off a target whether his pray lock was mouth or eye. It begins wit eyes.

Contained energy can also be something they lock onto. Asking them to release their mouth, automatically makes them release not just a ball, but energy, and back to the healthy use of nose and air flow breathing again. Their and our lymbic system see no 3dimensional difference between releasing a ball or a target off their sight and all the energy and focus they put into it.

This dude knows what he is doing, and so dogs do, hence their immediate response. And no, that dog is moons away from being scared too. Wanna see a scared to death dog... they wee and poo their soul away when you lay your innocent calmed dogs on them cause last who did beat the leaving hell out of him and cannot differentiate you from him. I have rehabilitated 3 dogs like that last of which is currently mine.

Edit: so glad this comment reached so many people. Think like a human. Act like a dog. Always.

All the comments freaking out cause he doesn't treat the dog like a spoilt toddler. Do any of them realise who he is and how many dogs he's saved from being put down?

Notice, hes not hurting her or even applying that much pressure, this is a soft spot area that triggers a reflex, and the whining you hear is because she's throwing a small tantrum since she still doesnt want to let the ball go, this guy knows what he's doing 👍💯

My Malinois did the same thing when he was a puppy. All I did to train him to drop the ball was pull out a second ball from my pocket and reward him when he dropped the ball. He figured out pretty quickly what to do and the second ball became unnecessary.

Apparently some people have never watched a momma dog discipline their pups

The most important thing is to treat a dog like an animal and not like your baby or a human! You can not sit down and argue with the dog.

I have worked with dogs for years in a shelter setting. I wish I would have known how to do these techniques. He is not cruel, he is the pack leader. Understanding how dogs behave with one another is imperative. Mother dogs teach with their mouths and snips and grabs to make her puppies learn. It does not hurt them it teaches them.

I question everyone and everything. In my ignorance, I self inflicted a soap box. I've witnessed enough of you to know that you are the man in your field! Keep saving these people so these dogs can live! Thank you so much, ignore the critiques, you know you're doing right, stay strong!

I appreciate the advice for helping them to unlearn bad behavior. Dogs correct other dogs much like this, I don't get all of the people who want to treat dogs like newborn babies and think they can't be physically corrected in a fair way. He isn't whipping the dog, settle down Karen.

To anyone saying this is abuse, it is absolutely not. Abuse is mistreating an animal in a cruel way. This is correcting a behavior that can escalate into something much worse if not corrected called "resource guarding". He is only doing what other dogs would do in a pack but very mildly. They learn pretty quick and get over it. Obviously this isn't something you constantly do every day for no reason, that would be abuse.

Stop fussing he is saving these dogs lives ... he is good to the dogs. You have to train a dog if you want it to behave....

Note to all that are complaining about this method: it is not applied forever. As soon as the dog learns the “drop” command, the poking stops.

The lady will never get the dog to drop it.

Yup. That seems like a quick way to get them to understand what u want them to do.. Its not "painful" just uncomfortable. Yes, momma dog nip.. Keep it up!

Thank you I have a Chihuahua. I am the fourth owner of this year and a half old dog. He still acts like a puppy and I am trying to train him to be a psychiatric service dog. It’s not going too bad he’s very quick to pick up he lays on me and does the pressure therapy for panic attacks so far I would just like to have the control over him when we walk. I am losing the ability to walk, so therefore my sister is having to do this training as I can only walk 10 steps before I have to step down but I want to say again thank you I watch your videos. You are an amazing man.

I wish people that want to get a dog should go to training classes with the dog to create a healthy well balanced relationship with the dog. Love that you see who causes the problem. Then fix the human.

I have a seven month old Goldendoodle male. As known Goldendoodles are very high energy dogs with very strong play and prey drives. My pup Charlie knows the "drop" command, but he won't drop the ball. Why? Because he EXPECTS the treat as reward no matter how known the trick is for months now. His play turns into play aggression when he doesn't get the expected treat so I don't treat him anymore with that specific trick. I see why he doesn't use treats to teach a dog. They must learn because they can learn without set rewards and just with connection and respect. I agree with a method of teaching the dog the way he did especially sense the dog only felt consequences to a action she knew she was doing wrong by keeping the ball. Pain isn't hurting the dog more than showing the dog the dangers of their own reactions if they don't listen. Think of how her owner could trip and fall crushing her if she struggling to get the ball from the dog. That's a example of teaching the dog of control over consequences
