As a literally brand new player i found that hybrids have quickly become my best and most consistent choice for a club, its such a straightforward and intuitive club that can flex into a lot of roles that im suprised more people dont use them often enough, if i had to play with one club forever it would be a hybrid without a doubt

I just treat it like it's a long iron, so I deloft it a little... hitting it straight and knowing my distances is most important for me... so my 5h is my 190-210 yard club which is exactly what I need it to be.

My love taylormade m4 22 degree hybrid is by far favorite club in my bag. For some reason I cannot hit my irons with a full swing anymore so last time I played I just used my hybrid for everything. Literally hit a green on a par 3 from 140 and a par 4 from 220. Not a permanent fix but it made my round much more enjoyable than shanking my irons all day.

I had to give up the hybrid in favor of a 2 iron. A lot of them have a bit much in terms of offset. Always ended up hitting bad pull hooks.

Why do some golf instructors tell you different ball positions for the hybrid? One tells you to put it one ball away from center and another tells you to put it just inside your left heel?
