In psychology, it's known that the 'honeymoon' phase of the relationship is around 18 months. this is the period of time after the start of the relationship where both people are 'love blind' and will ignore or dismiss any bad behaviors of their partner and will ACT nicely towards their partner. AFTER this period of time, the people will start to revert back to their normal behavior because A. the hormone levels can't be sustained indefinitely and B. they feel comfortable enough to start once again act like themselves because they feel that their partner will no longer just up and leave them as they've invested enough time in the relationship to stall their decision to just leave.

Thus, you need to NOT get engaged or married until after AT LEAST 2 years. this will give you time to get out of the 'honeymoon' phase and around 6 more months in order to see how that person really acts towards you and others.... THEN and ONLY THEN do you make a decision for marriage.

Personally, I wouldn't marry ANYONE these days.... it's too much of a risk, especially the way the courts and laws are set up against men.

I am a woman and I am sickened by what women are doing to our men! I have been in a very happy, traditional marriage for years. I am in a home organization group ( keep my home nice for my family) on face book and a woman left a post complaining that her husband is not being supportive of her decluttering. The messages back were sick! Leave him niw, he is a narcissist, make a plan to escape, i am worried for your safety.... You have got to be kidding me! I will say, there were more comments calling for logic and communication and in defense of the husband, but the others made me so sad! I messages the group and said " it is because of those attitudes that almost 50 percent of women will be single and childless, not by choice, by 2030, and the moderator reprimanded me !

The girl getting rejected when she asks for a hug is confusing and kinda sad. I don’t understand what’s the big deal about giving someone, yes a stranger, a hug! You should be happy that is what they’re asking for, not turned off by it or think it’s a bad thing. It’s a nice thing when someone wants to hug you! And I think it’s sad that we feel the need to see that as a negative thing instead of a positive. Very sad!
