“I don’t understand the obsession with stance on You Tube”

Goes on to make a video obsessing about stance

Lol, I just don't understand the confusion... Then proceeds to explain the most complicated board setup I've ever heard.

You can't ride goofy in duck stance. If you ride duck stance there is regular and Donald

Riding posture is more integral than equipment setup in the bigger picture

Furthest setting, 15/15. Super stable and even, easy to ride switch and reg

Honing this in took me a long time. It has also changed with different boots. I have also been able to go wider with more skill. I think the nideker video is helpful.

I’ve always run 0 degrees on the both feet lol and I’m talking for years and it’s great for me

I ride with both feet parallel. Did that when I was a kid before I knew anyone did anything else lol

Burned my legs halfway through the day because my stance was so wide. I narrowed it too much and felt unstable. I’m hoping next time I’ll be dialed in to have a good full day

If you have bad knees try lots of diff angles to find what doesnt hurt.

I’ve come to learn that moving the bindings all the way back isn’t always best on pow days. Maybe one or two inches depending on how much snow. Unless 3 feet dropped the night before it’s total overkill

Ive always gone with shoulder width for stance

Uh if you got the wrong size board like I did, the reference stance is too wide and your riding will low key suck. Put your bare foot up on a chair and measure from the chair to the top of your knee. That's a good starting stance width. Adjust from there.

There isn't really an obsession with stance. I watch plenty of snowboarding content, and it's not a controversial topic.

The Canadian association of snowboard instructors recommendation for new riders is +9 -9 and shoulder width..

freestyle: as beginner choose a narrow stance because it makes rotations quicker and easier, as experienced rider go wide for mo control and steeze. In Powder ride it with a little setback (means your nose is longer than the tail. like this:
<- this for racing/carving dont know any about that ^^
my prefered stance is like this because in hardcore duckstance my back knee starts to hurt sooner or later and its more fun to carve and more controlable in backcountry for my feeling

as a beginner it can be a little bit overwhelming i guess but as experienced rider you just may switch stances for different arts of shreddin

Im 5'10 little short on the legs. I find that running 12 -10or12 with the front foot moved back an inch is perfect for everything. No need to change ever

I’m goofy and my stance is normal. I literally do park and carve no problem. Just depends on the person but ya you gotta get the sweet spot
