I knew I was doing something wrong working 83 hours

I did that. Now I’m 45, retired and don’t even remember my kids growing up. I missed out some of the most important things all for money. I’ll never get that time back. Don’t work so hard kids. Enjoy life and the time you have with your family. It’s not worth it.

Society last year: Live your life on you’re 20’s

Society today: Work until you can’t move

My superpower is my bro. we both work hard and put a lot of money aside and invest, and all our outgoings are half as much because it's split between us. I feel sorry for siblings who aren't close cause you're missing out on one person you can trust 100%

People work 12 hrs a day in Nigeria and get paid scraps for it at the end of the month. We ready to work but our system is fucked

When I was in my 20’s I worked 86 hours a day while sleep walking. I had to eat in the shower to save time and used telepathy to stay in constant contact with my children.

No excuses

I’ll play devil’s advocate here. “Work 84 hours a week. It’s the only way to get yourself out of poverty.” Even if that were true, why would people believe that’s acceptable? There’s no point in living. I’d off myself before working that much.

I only grinded like that in college because my major was engineering. I studied my ass off & took every internship I could because I had no intention of working for anyone after I graduated. In my 20’s I worked but didn’t have to work crazy hours because of the prices I charged for structural designs & consultations. I’m a work life balance type of guy, money is great but it isn’t everything, I didn’t get happier as my revenue went up. But if people want to start making good money, go to college and learn a specialty, don’t just “get a degree”, and front load that labor from ages 18-25.

Uber isn't gonna pay the bills like working in a restaurant would. After gas, expenses from repairs and oil changes plus wear on the motor driving for Uber makes less than minimum wage sometimes.

Get a job in a nice steakhouse and make tips or become a bartender. You can make $70-100k per year doing one job (I know because this is my profession)

The problem is not working 80hrs week. Its getting your times worth. 80 hrs a week minimum wage is just destroying your health

That’s exactly what I’m starting to do now. I’m 22 working 80-90hr weeks saving up 25K to start day trading fulltime to get out of this 9-5 lifestyle. I’ll be job free 5 months from now

I feel bad for people like this who think working their life away for money will solve all of their problems. I hope everyone is successful but don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.

there are millions of people who work longer hours than you did. Nearly all of those people are still in poverty/barely making ends meet. People like u don't appreciate how luck and right-place-right-time is a factor.
