Paul explains why he chooses to omit chicken from his diet. He touches on the differences in their digestive systems versus those of ruminant animals and why we are probably accumulating seed oils through consuming chicken. He also touches on why he avoids eggs in terms of their fatty acid profile.

I spent over a year eating only cheap chicken leg quarters, because that's pretty much the only carnivore food I could afford at the time. I felt great the entire time, lost weight and my blood work was great. Beef is a lot better, but I'm not convinced giving up chicken is necessary for everyone.

I can't eliminate chicken, eggs or fish, for the same reason I couldn't go vegan years ago when many folks claimed how healthy it was; because I don't like most vegetables, and life is not worth living if you force yourself to eat stuff you don't like or abstain from all the things you truly enjoy. I'm onboard as to why sugar, most carbs, seed oils, etc, are bad & refrain; but I love chicken, seafood & eggs, and I'll live with the consequences of eating the healthiest ones I can find.

We have a small flock at our rural home and try to include as much free range and natural foods as possible in their diet. They are fed a diet free of corn and soy. There is such a huge difference between our eggs and grocery store eggs!

It's absolutely despicable how the American Heart Association says to do exactly the opposite. Encouraging people to add more polyunsaturated fats from sources like corn, soybean, and sunflower oil and reducing the intake of saturated fats. Their studies never come close to understanding that mono eating animal products is the key. All their studies involve combining proteins, fats, and carbohydrates at each meal. And coming to the conclusion that it's the saturated fats causing the issue. Try eating meat and fruit separately and only after each previous meal has fully digested for 1 or 2 weeks. See how you feel. Go back to combining macronutrients from both animal and plant-based sources, no matter whole grain sources or refined food products. See how you feel. But the experts coming from academia wouldn't dream of trying this. Imagine if they did. It would be too inconvenient for Big Agriculture. And ultimate Big Pharma.

All I can say is: all of my autoimmue symptoms vanished after several months of eating carnivore including eating chicken bought in the big box stores. Everyone can eat what he/she wants, but I continue to eat chicken.

I found eggs in Texas that do not feed them corn or soy. They eat bugs and grass only. Best eggs I've ever had. Located not far from Austin. About an hour and a half away. Shirt tail creek farms.

I've watched many documentaries on the hadza and they eat everything that moves. I also raise chickens and they eat lots of grass seeds. We don't really grain our chickens except in winter.

Wow, Dr Paul made it 28 seconds without saying Hadza. I think it's a personal record.

We have a flock of backyard chickens which free range on 4ish acres all day every day except in the winter. They have 24/7 access to scratch grains and food pellets but actually ignore those foods when they can find enough through foraging. They prefer insects and other natural foods. Everyone who we give eggs to says that our eggs are way better and more flavorful than store bought eggs, even when they aren't super fresh.
We don't eat said chickens so I can't speak to the quality of meat however.

I mostly eat beef for my meat but I occasionally have chicken or turkey for a little variety

I agree with everything you say on your channel but not eating Chicken is where I draw the line 🤣

I'd love to hear you talk more about the body's UREA THRESHOLD. I cleaned up my diet a long time ago to something that resembles paleo, but still suffer from joint pain and chronic allergies. I've made a few attempts at eating carnivore to see if it helps with my ailments. I can't seem to eat more than a pound of meat everyday without experiencing unusual sharp sporadic nerve pains. I'd love to hear you talk more about bodily limits some people might have in processing meat. Thanks for making awesome videos.

We have feral chickens here in Hawaii. Pretty tough birds, but make amazing broth and the livers are very tasty!

Why wouldn't you hunt easy meals as opposed to always assuming hunting beasts is the only way to survive?

Hello doctor. You mention dairy. Can you please make a video on different types of dairy and which is best. I know goats milk kefir is golden but what about cow dairy and A2 casein that they say is harmful. Can you please elaborate on that

But you could eat the lean meat from it and add other fats if you're somewhere you can't find or afford ruminant meat. Not optimal but sometimes when better meat is not available

animal based diet makes me feel so good, less inclined to snack etc. however my mind keeps bringing up the fear that "red meat is bad and hard to digest / causes cancer if eaten regularly :)" can you make a video about this please. thank you Paul

what's nice where I live, there is a farm with grass fed and finished beef, and pasture raised pork and chicken. right on the website it states that everything eats what's able to be foraged and no feed supplemented.

I learned about fatty acid composition feed affecting pork fat as an Ag student in the 80s. The discussion wasn’t about the health benefits for humans rather just the eating pleasure.

Oh Boy! Carnivore MD, Paul you must have been raised on this saying "You are what you eat?" never before has that saying ever been more prevalent than NOW! Getting stronger every day and thinking more differently as well.
